707 Young Adult Pastor Josh Stone guides us into the second week of the Be series on the Beatitudes in Matthew 5 as he asks us to be "those that mourn" from verse 4. Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted. Mourning is not having bad things happen, not insulating your life from bad things, not being unaffected by bad things, not despairing. Mourning takes human death seriously, mourns sin and suffering in the world, fosters deep relationships, and doesn't despair. Christians are comforted by the Gospel.

It makes a great impact upon us to receive a godly blessing and there is a responsibility to impart one upon others, especially if it is family. Today will be about honoring the blessing that some have received, inviting others to receive a blessing, and calling our people to hand a blessing to others. The big idea is to receive a blessing and to pass one on; to speak God's purposes and power over someone's life. Pastor Chad will teach from selected passages in Genesis 46-49, but concentrating on Genesis 48:1-49:27.
