The Spiritual Gifts listed in Romans 12 are classified as motivational gifts. God, through the work of the Holy Spirit, has given every Christian at least 1 of the 7 motivational gifts to carry out the work of the ministry.

There are two dimensions to your Christian Life: a primary calling which is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a secondary calling which is a particular work or service for Him.

As Christian’s, we are called to be in a radical relationship with Christ, not just in a regular religion. This difference should be externally clear, in the way we love and lead others into the light.

As Christians we must be unique in the world. Like salt, we are to permeate our society. Like light, we are to radiate our society. We are to be salt for the world’s corruption and light for the world’s confusion.

This passage is one of the greatest places in Scripture that gives the best explanation of “how one can be saved?” and “who can be saved?”

What is the role of predestination in salvation? It provides the basis for our salvation. It also coincides with God's foreknowledge, His sovereign will, His providential care, His election and a person's free will.

If salvation is the greatest thing to ever happen to a believer in Christ, then why doesn’t that believer want to tell others about the greatest thing to ever happen to them? Better yet, it should greatly grieve the believer when they witness others who have not experienced the salvation they have experienced. Where is the passion to share our great salvation?

Everyone is looking for security and benefits. For the Christian, a secure future rest in Jesus Christ through the grace He extends to us. Our response to that grace must come through faith.

Each of us have different “gifts, callings, and effects.” Just as each hero of the faith in Hebrews 11 lived a very different story, our individual obedience will look radically different as we live Jesus’ One Love with our lives. May we each be encouraged to take a step of faith today to follow the Most High on the “R-A-C-E” he has set before us:

Psalm 90:12 “So teach us to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”
