Today Griffey and Dandino hop a jet to a billionaire nightmare in Blink Twice. They cut into the film's weaponization of real world rationalizations often used to defend scumbags, how the movie uses time and repitition to keep the audience entranced just like the ladies, and the epic finale where evil is unmasked and tossed on a short leash. This is a modern Messed Up classic that we hope you enjoy with us.

Synopsis: When tech billionaire Slater King meets cocktail waitress Frida at his fundraising gala, he invites her to join him and his friends on a dream vacation on his private island. As strange things start to happen, Frida questions her reality.

Starring: Naomi Ackie, Channing Tatum, Alia Shawkat, Christian Slater, Haley Joel Osment, Simon Rex, Adria Arjona, Geena Davis, Kyle MacLachlan

Today Dandino gifts Griffey a movie that has aged like Old Cow Milk on a hot summer day, Someone Like You. They dig into the film's Old Cow Theorum of modern relationships, the insane decisions Ashley Judd must suffer from the scipt, and whether saddling up to a man like Hugh Jackman is bound to end in a Bronco Busting. This is an odd film that begs the question, WHY? so many times it must be seen.

Synopsis: After being jilted by her boyfriend, a talk show talent scout writes a column on the relationship habits of men which gains her national fame.

Starring: Ashley Judd, Greg Kinnear, Hugh Jackman, Marisa Tomei, Ellen Barkin

Directed by Tony Goldwyn

Get lost in the corridors of the most surreal blockbuster...ever? This New Movie Monday, we are reviewing the A24 sensation Backrooms, based on the totemic YouTube series of the same name. Of course, we can't cover Backrooms without a lengthy discussion about this cultural moment in horror cinema, off the heels of Curry Barker's breakout hit Obsession.

Griffey, Heath and Sam think they have a good handle on what it all means and make the argument that the film should've been even MORE abstract. We do our best to not get lost in the maze of this counfounding film while praising the performance of Chiwetel Ejiofor, the novel vision of director Kane Parsons and, of course, the most messed up moment in the movie.

Synopsis: After a therapist's patient disappears into a dimension beyond reality, she must venture into the unknown to save him. Director: Kane Parsons

Starring: Chiwetel Ejiofor, Renate Reinsve and Mark Duplass

Griffey, Heath and Sam make the most of this bad trip by talking yahts, the looming shadow of AI over mid movies, why it would have been better as found footage and, of course, the most messed up moment in the movie.

Synopsis: After a young couple witnesses a gruesome highway accident, they soon realize they did not leave the crash scene alone, as a demonic presence called the Passenger won't stop until it claims them both. Director: André Øvredal
