Today we have an interview with someone who we’ve hung out with on Saturdays for the over a decade. Kevin O’Connor has been the host of This Old House and Ask This Old House since 2003 and has helped guide many aspiring DIYers and woodworkers, including myself, through home repairs, construction, and remodeling projects with the help of Norm, Tommy, Richard, and Roger, the trades experts on the show. We talk with Kevin about the trades gap, staying relevant with your audience and how he and the show are using social media and YouTube to continue to get better.
Graduating from Boston University with a MBA in 1999, Kevin’s career path was much different before he became the host of this old house. Kevin also tells us how he went from being a Senior VP at the Bank of America to being the host of the 18 time Emmy award winning show. Kevin is also a published author, amateur photographer, and father of 3. He’s a busy man with tons of passion to share about social media and the trades, and we had an absolute blast having him on the show
This week’s episode is brought to you by Audible. Audible is our favorite way to consume knowledge while working and on the go. We just finished an amazing book called clockwork by Mike Michalowicz and it has us streamlining our businesses , outsourcing the right way, and becoming more efficient in 2019 .
