  • MFXtra: The Scottish Announce Table – Ep 30.
Duckman and George ‘The Animal’ Peel are back to bring you news and show reviews in the weird world of pro wrestling. It’s a pro wrestling podcast, with a decidedly Scottish flavour. On the show this week…

With Covid restrictions finally lifting in Scotland, George has been out for his first night out in 14 months. There’s loads of weird restrictions around drinking in Scotland and George tries to navigate this new strange world. Was it fun? Did it nearly end in disaster? Of course! Get all the details on this week’s show!

Plenty of wrestling to review and discuss as the lads do a deep dive on AEW’s Double or Nothing PPV. Their first PPV in front of a sold out crowd in over a year. And WOW, what an entertaining show! Duckman was back watching great wrestling with his brother and had a damn fun time. The lads go through all the matches, finishes and the young home-grown stars who were the focus of the show. Plus they love the use of veterans like Sting, Matt Hardy and Christian. Plus Taz and Don Callis are two of the best heel commentators working today and they are GREAT on this show!

WWE have been making headlines with more roster cuts and also a rumoured potential relationship with NJPW. The lads discuss all of this, what it could mean for the future of both the wrestlers who were released, and WWE moving forward.

The show is wrapped up as always with the Random Retro PPV Review. This week is WWF Backlash 2000. A perfect example of a one match show. That one match is so great – HHH defending the WWF Title against The Rock, with Stone Cold Steve Austin in Rock’s corner. It’s a truly historic match and one of the best WWE main events of that era. The rest of the show is super solid with no really amazing matches, but some solid under card work. The level of star power is pretty amazing and does lead to the question of ‘where did it all go wrong’ with WWE. A fun review of a really fun show.

So sit back, relax and get some SATP goodness in your life. Thanks for listening, spread the word of the show and all that good stuff.

Duckman and George ‘The Animal’ Peel are back to bring you news and show reviews in the weird world of pro wrestling. It’s a pro wrestling podcast, with a decidedly Scottish flavour. On the show this week…

After a few weeks off to recover from WrestleMania month (at least it feels like that these days) the lads are back and they are hitting the ground running. Duckman is fully Covid vaccinated, struggling to cope with post lockdown socialising and drinking, and RAGING against his latest Football Manager game. The lads trade some horror stories from the game and George’s real life team of Dundee put him through the ringer.

Tons of pro wrestling chat on the show this week. One of the most memorable and legit scary men in the history of wrestling, New Jack, passed away recently. The lads talk his career, impact on the business, the controversies that followed him in and out of the ring and everything that made New Jack one of the most entertaining promos of all time, but also a really dangerous person in and out of the ring.

The lads talk AEW and in particular the Blood and Guts match, the online reaction to it, Jericho’s bump and subsequent injury. They marvel at everything MJF. They also discuss Darby Allin’s TNT Title run and his significant ratings success in recent months. They also cover a few other AEW stories and preview the Double or Nothing PPV card. There’s some WWE chat as the lads discuss a couple of recent WWE Network documentaries and discuss Daniel Bryan’s contract situation and what the future might hold for him.

The show is wrapped up as always with the Random Retro PPV Review and God damn do we have a HELL of a show for you guys this week. WCW Slamboree 2000. A super controversial, Russo booked mess of matches with no finishes, so many baseball bat shots, an all time bad triple deck cage main event, and an absolute mess of a commentary team. The Millionaire’s Club vs. New Blood. Plus serious Hulk Hogan, Russo owns Liz, everyone wants to kill Terry Funk, is this match no dq?, Kevin Nash is our favourite wrestler ever, and THE GREATEST CROWD OF ALL TIME! This show is so bad it’s good. One of our most fun retro reviews of all time!

So sit back, relax and get some SATP goodness in your life. Thanks for listening, spread the word of the show and all that good stuff.

Welcome one and welcome all, the bar is open, the drinks are poured, so raise a glass to all the biggest nerd news stories of the past couple of weeks. Join your heroes Duckman and Marc Abrigo as they give nerd news and reviews the full 3PB treatment. On the show this week…

Of course it’s Cat Chat to kick things off, what else could the lads start with? Abrigo gives an update on his cats and in particular Bill, where things are getting super weird. Plus there’s some major controversy in Abrigo’s neighbourhood and it’s all cat related. Get all your cat related stories and laughs right here! We never thought the show would become this, but we love it!

Fear not, nerd chat is coming with a detailed review of Godzilla vs. Kong which the lads break down in wrestling terms, they fall in love with Kong all over again, and marvel at the spectacle of the awesome fight scenes between Godzilla and Kong and break the fights down and how well ‘booked’ they were. The lads talk the recent Shang-Chi trailer, which marks a whole new world to explore in the MCU. Marc gives his thoughts on what worked and what didn’t in the new Mortal Kombat movie.

The lads take a look at the new Amazon Prime animated superhero show Invincible. This is a show that has garnered a lot of hype and the lads are both firmly on the hype train! This is a great show and the lads enthusiastic review should get you on board with them! The biggest show to wrap up recently was Marvel’s The Falcon and The Winter Solider. The lads look back at the whole series, they talk all the twists and turns, the characters and the seriously important issues this show addressed and highlighted. The lads give all their highs and lows from the show and look forward to perhaps a second season, or more likely the future Captain America 4 movie.

Two hours of awesome nerd chat, cat chat and tons of laughs. This is a damn fun show, so sit back, grab a drink and relax with some 3PB goodness. Thanks for listening!

Duckman and George ‘The Animal’ Peel are back to bring you news and show reviews in the weird world of pro wrestling. It’s a pro wrestling podcast, with a decidedly Scottish flavour. On the show this week…

WrestleMania weekend (now more like a week to 10 days) is in the books and the lads are back to give all their thoughts on what went down on both nights of Mania! All the matches are covered from night one, with the lads marvelling at the impromptu, unscripted promos during the rain delay. George is furious as Michael Cole once again proves himself to be the worst commentator of all time. Duckman struggles to handle WWE’s rapid cut, incessant zooming and camera shaking production style. Thankfully there’s a god damn great main event to end the night. There’s so much real emotion on this show that the lads get caught up in it too, with the first SATP disagreement! Usually the lads are on the same page, but not when it comes to Bad Bunny!

Everything from Night 2 is covered from the terrible rendition of America The Beautiful to kick the show off, to Hulk Hogan thinking he’s Santa, to the turd sandwich that was Orton v The Fiend, to box-like structures and the greatest hits of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. Duckman marks the hell out at the finish to Sheamus vs. Riddle, George cringes at the singer doing Rhea Ripley’s entrance but loves the match, and both lads go nuts for the main event.

The WWE releases are covered, with George left raging once again at Vince and his business practices. The lads also cover AEW Dynamite hitting 1.2 million viewers and look ahead now the Wednesday Night War with NXT is over. They also cover Chris Jericho’s appearance on Stone Cold’s podcast. The show is wrapped up with reviews of night 1 and 2 of NXT Stand and Deliver. All the great matches are covered and the lads have a fantastic time reviewing two great NXT shows. It’s been a long WrestleMania week and this is a long show to cover all the happenings.

Duckman has been ill, so get ready for coughing fits, croaky voice and general wheezy chat from your favourite feathered friend. George on the other hand has hired a personal trainer to turn his life around, get rid of his lockdown body, and fit into his wedding suit in 18 months time!

Its not all illness and weight loss talk though folks, there’s a TON of wrestling chat to be had. The lads cover Andrade getting his release from WWE, the WWE Network move to NBC’s Peacock service and the editing of WWE’s past that is happening now and all the fall out from that.

WrestleMania weekend (technically 9 days now) is fast approaching. It’s ten days from the biggest WWE show of the year and they’ve FINALLY announced some matches. So the lads sit down and preview one of the least interesting WrestleMania cards of all time, they go over all the matches on both nights and try to predict what might happen. NXT Takeover is also a two night affair this year, so the lads preview both nights as well. There’s two Hall of Fame classes this year and the lads have a quick chat about who is going into the Hall of Fame this year, and just how dumb it is that certain people have been inducted multiple times.

The lads wrap up the show with the Random Retro PPV Review and this week it’s an absolute belter of a show – WrestleMania 19!! This is one of Duckman’s favourite WrestleMania shows, with two of his favourite WrestleMania matches of all time on it. The lads marvel at the sheer level of star power on the WWE roster at this time and how it truly was the end of the greatest era of WWE. Plus JR and King are at war with each other on commentary, Limp Bizkit rock the house in the most horrific way possible, and there’s one of the most famous botches in Mania history where Brock Lesnar tried a shooting star press on PPV for the first and final time! This is such a great show and the lads have so much fun looking back at what really was the work rate WrestleMania.

Duckman turns 40 this weekend. This is his final podcast in his 30s. He is having a slight crisis about it, but he’ll be fine. George is suffering from lockdown fatigue and has suffered injuries at the paws of his dog. It’s nasty. And funny.

Plenty of wrestling chat this week folks. The lads give AEW Revolution the full treatment with an in-depth review of all the ups, downs and botched explosions from the show. A damn fun review of a memorable (maybe for the wrong reason) show.

There’s lots of wrestling news to cover this week with a legend passing, NXT adding a night to Takeover, NXT moving to Tuesdays, leg slaps getting banned in WWE and a certain hilarious voiced executive and former Dynamic Dude is back in WWE!

The Random Retro PPV this week is a hugely historic show. It’s WrestleMania season and the lads are going back in time to WrestleMania 5. The first wrestling show George saw as a 7 year old kid. Hulk Hogan vs. Randy Savage – the Mega Powers explode! This show was 3 hours and 45 mins long, had 14 matches, 3 of which George thinks are good, Duckman isn’t sure there’s more than 1! This is a riot of a review as Duckman and George lose their minds thanks to a Mr Fuji bump, marvel at how much cocaine everyone was on and sit through one of the worst Piper Pit segments of all time. A really fun review of a memorable, but actually pretty terrible WrestleMania.

Cat Chat. The funniest 3PB moment ever. Just get listening for the opening 15 mins alone. Marc and his cats. The gift that keeps on giving.

Once things calm down the lads do get down some great nerd chat as they talk Gina Carano getting fired, Last of Us TV show casting news, Armie Hammer getting cannibal cancelled, plus Duckman has now finished season 5 of The Expanse, his favourite Sci-Fi TV show of all time, and he wants you all to watch it too!

For weeks on social media, Marc has been hinting at his feelings towards WandaVision – a show that has been pretty much universally loved – and they haven’t seemed that positive. Check out the lads detailed chat on WandaVision to find out just what Marc is thinking.

There’s trailer chat around Godzilla v Kong, the Synder Cut of Justice League and Mortal Kombat – the lads are hyped about two of these and couldn’t give less of a fuck about one. They wrap up with some news of Edgar Wright (one of Duckman’s favourite directors) making a new version of one of Duckman’s favourite childhood movies (The Running Man).

This is a super fun show, even if we do say so ourselves. We laughed, we cried, we nerded out and hopefully you guys enjoy the ride. So get listening, get some insights, some laughs and some nerd news goodness. Sit back, relax, and enjoy some 3PB in your life.

Duckman and George ‘The Animal’ Peel are back to bring you news and show reviews in the weird world of pro wrestling. It’s a pro wrestling podcast, with a decidedly Scottish flavour. On the show this week…

The lads discuss the recent spate of WWE meme related nonsense, including Nia Jax and her hole and Nattie Neidhart getting all upset about her worth in a social media meme that means nothing, while happily selling her image and all her rights away to Vince and WWE. As far as things to get upset by, Nattie picked a weird one here.

Anyway, there was a NXT Takeover last weekend. Five matches ranging from great to awesome. Some excellent performances from MSK and GYV in the men’s Dusty Cup Final. Plus Finn Balor and Pete Dunn deliver an early match of the year contender. This was a great show, that the lads really enjoyed, so their review is a super positive and fun time for all.

Plenty of WWE news stories to cover this week, including WWE once again screwing their staff financially, while recording record profits. More social media policy nonsense for WWE workers to abide by. There’s a rumoured new NXT show on the horizon, the lads wonder if what we really need is ANOTHER weekly wrestling show. They give Elimination Chamber a quick preview and then discuss lots of big AEW news, including Sting taking his first bump in AEW and the announcement of the insane stipulation for the Omega vs. Moxley World Title rematch.

The show is wrapped up, as always, with the Random Retro PPV Review and MY GOD do we have a stinker of a show for you this week! WCW Uncensored 1996 – one of the worst shows we’ve ever watched. If you want to see what happens when Hulk Hogan’s ego is allowed to run wild, check out this train wreck of a show. Horrible matches, terrible finishes, awful interviews. Plus a 8 vs 2, triple decker cage match with Hogan and Randy Savage taking on ALL THE HEELS. The rules of the match are never explained and it’s just an all time bad match and show. But the review is SO FUN! We learn who is good at improv in WCW and who isn’t. Bobby Heenan is drunk. Dusty Rhodes isn’t, but sounds like he is. Plus Finlay and Regal beat each other up in such a violent fashion, even the UFC would say they went too far.

So sit back, relax and get some SATP goodness in your life. Thanks for listening, spread the word of the show and all that good stuff.

The lost show is no longer lost! It’s a MFX triple threat as Marc Abrigo jumps over from 3PB and joins the lads for a special Royal Rumble review show! The lads chat about Lars Sullivan’s release and  address the news of the passing of Dustin Diamond of Saved By The Bell fame. They cover the big news that WWE Network is moving to Peacock and what effect it may have on WWE’s popularity and marvel at how much money Vince McMahon can make from content rights fees.

AEW have been making big headlines this week with the start of another working relationship, this time with NJPW. The forbidden door has been opened! The lads discuss this big news, plus a few other random AEW topics like the Sting/Derby Allin angle, Shaq’s involvement with Cody Rhodes and a few other fun stories.

They wrap the show up with a full review of this year’s Royal Rumble show. There’s great matches, some bang average ones too, the usual terrible WWE commentary and camera work. But the lads did enjoy the show a lot and this is a really fun review to finish off the show.

The lads catch up after a few weeks off. There’s a little bit of celebration at the end of the Trump presidency. George hasn’t watched any wrestling since the last show, Duckman has watched tons of interviews and old WCW. The lads discuss The Undertaker’s appearance on Joe Rogan’s show and have a lot of fun with it.

All the biggest wrestling news stories of the last few weeks are covered, we’ve got fans coming back to WrestleMania, we’ve got wrestlers catching Covid, we’ve got a weird Goldberg v Drew McIntyre match coming up, and we’ve got people throwing fire at each other on RAW. Ah WWE creative, the gift that keeps on giving. We’ve got our and your predictions for who will win the two Royal Rumble matches this year.

There’s plenty of chat around the AEW/IMPACT angle and the lads give their thoughts on the happenings over the past few weeks. There’s plenty to love about how this angle is progressing and plenty of hype about where it could end up. The lads also have some predictions for wrestling in 2021 and they cover all your predictions too.

The show is wrapped up as always with the Random Retro PPV Review and this week we’ve got an absolute classic with WWF Royal Rumble 1992. Ric Flair and Bobby Heenan RULE this show. We’ve got a terrible undercard to make fun of, we’ve got coked up Roddy Piper, coked up Randy Savage, Hogan being a cry baby and SID!!!!!!! This is the greatest Royal Rumble match in history and by GOD the lads have fun reviewing this one.
