  • MFXtra: 3 Pints with Betty – Ep 23.
Welcome one and welcome all, the bar is open, the drinks are poured, so raise a glass to all the biggest nerd news stories of the past couple of weeks. Join your heroes Duckman and Marc Abrigo as they give nerd news and reviews the full 3PB treatment. On the show this week…

It’s been a while since the lads at down to get their geek on. So there’s a quick catch-up between the lads. Duckman is on a health kick, Marc is trying not to get arrested at the park. It’s a fun time as always! There’s some non-spoiler chat about Umbrella Academy Season 2. There’s also a couple of shows the lads have watched that the other hasn’t, so it’s time for another edition of ‘But Have You Seen This?’ With Duckman loving The Expanse and Marc all about the new Transformers show on Netflix, War for Cybertron.

Of course there’s plenty of chat about DC’s landmark Fandome event that took place over the weekend. The Batman, Suicide Squad, Black Adam, the Synder Cut of Justice League, Wonder Woman 1984, and all the upcoming DC games get the full 3PB treatment. Plus news on 3PB’s favourite punch-bag The Flash movie. It’s a hell of a fun chat about all things DC and there’s plenty to get excited about…for next year and beyond.

So get listening, get some insights, some laughs and some nerd news goodness. Sit back, relax, and enjoy some 3PB in your life.

  • MFXtra: The Scottish Announce Table – Ep 13.
Duckman and George ‘The Animal’ Peel are back to bring you news and show reviews in the weird world of pro wrestling. It’s a pro wrestling podcast, with a decidedly Scottish flavour. On the show this week…

It’s hot in Scotland, so hot that Duckman and George are slightly delirious, which makes for a super fun show! Duckman is in a ranty little mood about wrestling twitter. He’s annoyed by the phrase ‘botch shaming culture’ and virtue signalling white knights who won’t stop riding to the rescue of women’s wrestling, when they really aren’t needed.

There’s more than just Duckman being a grumpy old man, there’s tons of pro wrestling chat as the lads discuss the news WWE will be broadcasting Summerslam and other shows live from the Am Way Arena in Florida. They give their thoughts on RAW Underground and the new Retribution stable and whether or not these new concepts are the answers to WWE’s main roster creative woes and viewership losses.

They review the last two weeks of NXT and AEW, with all the build to Takeover and All Out. Plenty of great matches, some good angles, a few missteps, lots of hate for Pat McAfee, and all the usual fun the lads have when discussing their two favourite weekly wrestling shows. Plus Duckman explains to George the WAP video and Ben Shaprio’s epic self-own when he was trying to make fun of the track

The show is wrapped up as usual with the Random Retro PPV Review. This week it’s WWF Summerslam 2001. We’re slap bang in the middle of the Invasion angle. There’s great matches, terrible matches, some hilarious backstage skits and SO MUCH STAR POWER. A really fun review of a fun show. So sit back, relax and get some SATP goodness in your life. Thanks for listening, spread the word of the show and all that good stuff.

There’s been some drama at the MFX Studios. We lost a whole show. A three hour cross-over with SATP and 3PB. Duckman, George and Marc Abrigo got together, made a great show, laughed their asses off and then Duckman’s shitty (and now destroyed) computer lost the whole damn thing! So get ready for a Duckman rant of epic proportions about their amazing lost show.

Anyway, there’s still tons of pro wrestling chat for the lads to get their teeth into. Including highlights from Smackdown with Bray Wyatt fingering Alexa Bliss in the mouth and Naomi and Lacy Evans with an epic botch. Plus the lads try to decide which wrestler they would like to troll with a cameo video. They pay tribute to British wrestling legend, Mark ‘Rollerball’ Rocco, who passed away recently.

There’s WWE financial news. Vince McMahon has made record profits during the COVID-19 crisis. The lads discuss this, WWE’s crumbling TV viewership, what this might mean for the future of the companies TV deals and loads of other fun stuff.

The lads review this week’s NXT and AEW – with loads of discussion about both shows. The lads just don’t get Dexter Lumis, they love Keith Lee and over on AEW JR nearly ruins the show with his super negative commentary. They finish things off with the first ever SATP mailbag as they answer listener questions. It’s a super fun show, that you’ll actually get to hear! So sit back, relax and get some SATP goodness in your life. Thanks for listening, spread the word of the show and all that good stuff.

Duckman and George ‘The Animal’ Peel are back to bring you news and show reviews in the weird world of pro wrestling. It’s a pro wrestling podcast, with a decidedly Scottish flavour. On the show this week…

(We had a few technical issues recording this week, so there’s a few slightly harsh edits early in the show. Sorry about that, shouldn’t cause too many issues when you listen though.)

One of these days we’ll be able to start a show without talking about COVID-19 and all the horror that goes along with it. Unfortunately this isn’t one of these days. Florida is setting all kinds of unwanted COVID records, which the lads discuss and the effect it could have on WWE and AEW. There’s an update on the WWE COVID outbreak and their much delayed response to the situation.

The lads talk WWE purchasing EVOLVE and Rey Mysterio currently working without a contract in WWE. Did you know WWE have a PPV this week that includes a match where someone is going to have their eye pulled out? Yep, we’ve entered peak Wrestle Crap territory here folks. The lads preview The Horror Show at Extreme Rules and wonder just what the hell is going on with this show and WWE’s creative in general.

The lads cover the last couple of weeks of big NXT and AEW shows, they talk all the main matches and angles. There’s plenty of great wrestling and good angles for the lads to discuss here, so it’s a fun chat about four fun shows.

The show is wrapped up as usual with the Random Retro PPV Review and this week we’ve got one of the best PPV shows WWE ever produced – Summerslam 2002. Prime Kurt Angle vs Rey Mysterio kicks things off with the best ten minute matches you’ll ever see and the show just gets better and better from there. The lads mark out hard for great matches, brilliant characters, awesome booking, amazing story lines, and all the things that WWE used to do so well. It’s a damn fun review of an absolutely brilliant show. So get on it!. As always, thanks for listening. Hope you guys enjoy the show.

Welcome one and welcome all, the bar is open, the drinks are poured, so raise a glass to all the biggest nerd news stories of the past couple of weeks. Join your heroes Duckman and Marc Abrigo as they give nerd news and reviews the full 3PB treatment. On the show this week…

Tons of video game chat to kick things off this week. Marc joined Duckman, his brother and his 9 year old nephew Eoin for some games of Fortnite. Hear all about how MFX Squad got the win, laughed their asses off and had a damn good time. Also hear all about how Duckman’s brother doesn’t know his left from his right, which caused an epic blow-out between the Duck brothers. Plus Duckman is deep into Last of Us 2, so the lads discuss the game, don’t worry though, no spoilers for this huge and incredibly awesome game. Marc has news on Dr Disrespect’s perma-ban from Twitch, plus news on allegations against a popular You Tuber Angry Joe and allegations against comedian Chris D’Elia.

Duckman LOVES What We Do In The Shadows and implores everyone listening to go watch the funniest show on TV. The lads discuss Hollywood’s weird and pretty pointless response to the BLM movement. Hey Hollywood, removing old TV shows isn’t the answer to ending systemic racism. How about you put some people of colour into real positions of power?

Tons of Batman chat this week as the lads cover the news that Michael Keaton is rumoured to be returning to play Batman in the upcoming Flash movie, yeah, we’ll believe it when we see it too. Legendary director Joel Schumacher recently passed away, the lads discuss his career, which leads nicely into this week’s Hell on Reels segment – Schumacher’s weird fever dream of a Batman movie, Batman and Robin. The lads go through this high camp, terribly acted, horrifically scripted movie, which actually turns out to be a ton of fun. This movie is bad, but in a fun way. This review is another high point for 3PB – so much fun.

So get listening, what else are going to do during lockdown? Get this show, get some insights, some laughs and some nerd news goodness. So sit back, relax, and enjoy some 3PB in your life.

Duckman and George ‘The Animal’ Peel are back to bring you news and show reviews in the weird world of pro wrestling. It’s a pro wrestling podcast, with a decidedly Scottish flavour. On the show this week…

Well. It’s been another terrible week in prowrestling. This time it’s the revelations brought about by the Speaking Out movement on Twitter. Where countless women and men have made allegations of sexual assault, sexual abuse, grooming and other horrible things against numerous wrestlers, trainers, bookers and promoters. Obviously this is a horrible story and our hearts go out to all the victims. The lads discuss this story and hope this is a moment of real change within an industry that really does need to do something about this kind of abuse.

Vince McMahon once again puts money before people as we’ve got news of a COVID-19 outbreak in WWE (what a shock). The lads discuss this, WWE’s reckless behaviour by not testing anyone for COVID-19 while taping TV and shows, Vince’s attitude towards the pandemic and just how ridiculous and negligent the whole story is.

The last episode of the Undertaker documentary has aired. The lads review this, talk all things Taker and wonder if this really is the end of his career with WWE. With Paul Heyman gone from RAW creative, the lads cover this story. Plus Edge v Orton, George getting sunburn and Duckman falling down the stairs!

The show is wrapped up with the Random Retro PPV Review. This week it’s WCW Bash at the Beach 1994 – the first WCW PPV of the Hulk Hogan era. We’ve got weird finishes, clunky matches, awesome promos, Bobby Heenan being amazing and Flair vs. Hogan, which Michael Buffer describes as a match as important and historic as the moon landing. You can’t say WCW didn’t put Hogan over! Plenty of fun to be had and the lads do enjoy stepping back to a time once again. A damn fun review. As always, thanks for listening. Hope you guys enjoy the show.

Duckman and George ‘The Animal’ Peel are back to bring you news and show reviews in the weird world of pro wrestling. It’s a pro wrestling podcast, with a decidedly Scottish flavour. On the show this week…

The lads are old enough to remember WWF’s In Your House PPVs, so they do have some fun with NXT Takeover In Your House. The lads do a deep dive on the show, reviewing all the matches and finishes. There was some fun matches, some absolute trash and the feeling that NXT isn’t the hip, hot brand it was a year ago is pretty strong. The overly scripted commentary and the completely fake ‘game show audience’ reactions don’t improve things. A decidedly average Takeover, which is still a good show, but nowhere near the quality of Takeovers of the past. It’s a fun review though, plenty of laughs are had.

The lads discuss some news stories of the past couple of weeks, including the great news that New Japan is coming back with live shows, WWE’s laughably fake corporate response to the BLM movement, there’s some fun to be had with Randy Orton v Tomasso Ciampa’s Twitter feud. The lads discuss WWE’s decision to do the 300th version of Jeff Hardy is an addict storyline, and they cover the Drake Maverick is he/isn’t he fired angle. There’s a decidedly underwhelming preview of WWE Backlash, there really is nothing of interest happening on this show. Plus there’s a quick run down of the upcoming AEW Fyter Fest show and how the card is shaping up.

The show is wrapped up as always with the Random Retro PPV Review. This week it’s Starcade 1987 – a real mixed bag of a show. We’ve got SO MANY ARMBARS. We’ve got terrible finishes. We’ve got a terrifying scaffold match. We’ve got RON GARVIN as NWA World Champion (WTF?), plus one of the GREATEST babyface promos of all time from Jimmy Garvin and one of the most bizarre promos of all time by Nikita Koloff. It wasn’t a great show, but it wasn’t boring. Plenty of fun to be had and the lads do enjoy stepping back to a time once again. A damn fun review. As always, thanks for listening. Hope you guys enjoy the show.

Welcome one and welcome all, the bar is open, the drinks are poured, so raise a glass to all the biggest nerd news stories of the past couple of weeks. Join your heroes Duckman and Marc Abrigo as they give nerd news and reviews the full 3PB treatment. On the show this week…

Black Lives Matter. If you don’t agree, then this is not the show for you. Marc and Duckman discuss the protests, the violence and the cause of everything – deep rooted, systemic racism in both the US and the UK. They go in-depth, they get heated and heartfelt about what we have all witnessed over the last week. They don’t have the answers, but make it clear they stand with BLM and hope everyone listening does too.

Of course there’s got to be the usual 3PB content. The lads give their take on the announcement of the Synder Cut of Justice League coming to HBO Max in 2021. They talk Ruby Rose’s decision to step down as Batwoman and what this means for the future of the show. Plus they discuss some of your suggestions of the worst retcons in comic books and other movies. This is a really fun, nerd heavy discussion.

The show is wrapped up as always with Hell on Reels. This week it’s THE WORST MOVIE EVER MADE – the soulless, hollow, corporate sponsored version of ET – the unbelievably bad Mac and Me. The lads do a deep dive on this horrible movie. Thankfully the review is a lot more entertaining then THE WORST MOVIE EVER MADE. Seriously, it was so bad they barely made it through the whole movie without punching something!

There’s some important things said on this show, there’s some superhero nonsense chat and an amazingly fun review of THE WORST MOVIE EVERY MADE. Only 3PB brings the heat like this. So get listening, what else are going to do during lockdown? Get this show, get some insights, some laughs and some nerd news goodness. So sit back, relax and enjoy some 3PB in your life.

  • MFXtra: The Scottish Announce Table – Ep 8.
Duckman and George ‘The Animal’ Peel are back to bring you news and show reviews in the weird world of pro wrestling. It’s a pro wrestling podcast, with a decidedly Scottish flavour. On the show this week…

It’s been a tragic few weeks in pro wrestling with the deaths of both Shad Gaspard and Hanna Kimura. The lads discuss both of these horrible stories, pay tribute to two people who died far too young, and rage against the cowardly trolls that drove a young woman to take her own life.

Thankfully, there’s been some fun pro wrestling shows to distract from these tragic stories and the current dumpster fire that the world is. The lads do a deep dive review of AEW’s Double or Nothing PPV, covering all the matches, all the finishes, and they mark the hell out at the most entertaining match either of them have seen in years – the Stadium Stampede.

There’s a ton of in-ring news items to cover with both WWE and AEW news. The lads discuss the two most recent episodes of The Last Ride documentary on The Undertaker and have a lot to say about this living legend and how he is portrayed.

The show is wrapped up as always with the random retro PPV review. This week it’s peak attitude era as the lads review WWF Over the Edge 1998. Austin v McMahon is incredible. The rest of the show is a mixed bag of terrible matches, weird angles and just general attitude era lunacy. It’s not as great as most people remember, but it’s a damn fun show to watch and review.

As always, thanks for listening. Hope you guys enjoy the show.

  • MFX Ep 176 – The Surprise Return Show.
Surprise folks! That’s right, after 8 long months on hiatus, MFX IS BACK!!! Sir Ian Trumps makes his return to the airwaves for this special rambling show about nothing and everything. We find out what’s been happening in Ian’s life, why the show went off the air and why it’s back. There’s family chat, embarrassing Dad stories, and so much more!

It’s the first MFX is a long time and the content of the show moving forward will be slightly different, basically no more wrestling chat (as that’s covered by Duckman and George on The Scottish Announce Table Podcast), but it’s still MFX, it’s still damn fun and man it’s good to be back.

So sit back and relax as Duckman and Sir Ian get back in the saddle and remember just why they love doing this podcast thing!
