  • MFXtra: 3 Pints with Betty – Ep 20.
Welcome one and welcome all, the bar is open, the drinks are poured, so raise a glass to all the biggest nerd news stories of the past couple of weeks. Join your heroes Duckman and Marc Abrigo as they give nerd news the full 3PB treatment. On the show this week…

The lads continue to battle on through lockdown life, no showers, new nicknames and Duckman is in a weird head space this week. There’s some fun lockdown stories about a South Korean football team, Marc shares another ridiculously embarrassing childhood story about himself and Duckman wonders if Scotland is the only country to broadcast commercials reminding parents not to beat their kids during lockdown. It’s a fun time as always.

The lads say goodbye to comedy legend Fred Willard – one of the most familiar faces in Hollywood and one of the funniest actors of all time. There’s tons of Star Wars related chat on the show this week with Duckman giving some love to Mandalorian and the making of series of the show currently showing on Disney Plus. Marc has some big casting news for Season 2 of The Mandalorian that is super exciting!

Marc has some news on a new Star Trek show, Duckman is all about Nicolas Cage being cast as Joe Exotic for the new scripted series based on Tiger King. There’s some news on Fox’s Marvel project New Mutants finally getting a theatrical release. Plus both lads are super happy that one of their favourite TV shows of the past few years – Umbrella Academy – has announced a release date for its much anticipated second season.

Then it’s time to finish the show with another Hell on Reels segment. It’s bad Fantasy movies this week and you guys voted for 2000s Dungeons and Dragons movie. Marc is a long time D and D player and this movie almost kills his love for the game. Yep, it’s that bad. Horrible acting, worse CGI, Jeremy Iron’s inhaling scenery and over acting like a mad man, terrible attempts at comedy and not a single person in the movie rolls a D20. A terrible movie, but a damn fun review as always.

So get listening, what else are going to do during lockdown? Get this show, get some laughs and some nerd news goodness. So sit back, relax and enjoy some 3PB in your life.

  • MFXtra: The Scottish Announce Table – Ep 7.
Duckman and George ‘The Animal’ Peel are back for another to bring you all the big news in the weird world of pro wrestling. It’s a pro wrestling podcast, with a decidedly Scottish flavour. On the show this week…

Turns out when the world is in lockdown and everything slows down, pro wrestling picks up the pace with TONS of news. The lads have got all the big stories covered, with Becky Lynch’s pregnancy announcement, Alberto Del Rio’s arrest and comedian Tom Segura vs. Wrestling fans.

WWE is turning out some great documentaries these days and the lads review the first episode of The Undertaker five part doc and the HHH/Foley doc. Two great looks at three of the biggest stars of our generation. The lads do a deep dive on both and have a ton to say about them.

MITB was a strange show. Another movie style match that while fun, didn’t hit the heights of the WM movie matches. The rest of the show was pretty blah, bar Drew v Seth, which was great. It’s just hard to get into these shows that take place to deathly silence. Still, it’s a fun review of the show!

There’s some in-ring WWE and AEW news covered, including a preview of AEW’s upcoming PPV Double or Nothing. Then it’s time to wrap the show up with the Random Retro PPV Review. This week it’s WWF Summerslam 1991. This is another fun as hell review. Bobby Heenan is amazing on commentary. Mr Perfect v Bret Hart is an amazing match, that was way ahead of its time. Plus we’ve got terrible early 90s gimmicks and finishes, Hogan’s here, so is Warrior, Sid, Macho and other childhood memories. A lot of laughs are had with this show!

As always, thanks for listening. Hope you guys enjoy the show.

  • MFXtra: 3 Pints with Betty – Ep 19.
Welcome one and welcome all, the bar is open, the drinks are poured, so raise a glass to all the biggest nerd news stories of the past couple of weeks. Join your heroes Duckman and Marc Abrigo as they give nerd news the full 3PB treatment. On the show this week…

Duckman and Marc get used to the new normal, which involves new nicknames, adventures on Instagram with a pro-wrestler and inappropriate photographs. Marc gives an update on his lockdown manbun that he’s been rocking recently. Duckman marvels at Post Malone’s Nirvana tribute show on You Tube. Plus the mood is lifted with a special Parks and Rec reunion show, done via zoom. It’s the new normal people.

There’s a lack of nerd news at the moment. So the lads are going down the trash tv rabbit hole with a car crash of a show called 90 Day Fiancée, Before the 90 Days. The lads are all about Big Ed and Rosemarie. A 54 year old man with no neck and mayo in his hair, goes to Marc’s homeland of the Philippines to meet up with Rose. Cultural clashes and hilarity ensue.

A couple of nerd news stories are covered, it’s not all trash TV talk! AMC Theatres and Universal are at war, over Trolls no less! What does this mean for future Universal releases? What will a post COVID-19 world look like for both theatres and on demand? Kevin Smith has been making headlines with some Mallrats 2 casting news and the lads have a quick chat about that. Duckman laments the recent comics from Charlie Cox that he won’t be playing Daredevil should the Man Without Fear appear in the MCU. Plus a huge leak in the games industry around the much anticipated sequel to The Last of Us has made headlines. Marc has all the details, but don’t worry – no spoilers here.

The show is wrapped up, as usual, with an awesome Hell on Reels! This week it was bad video game movies and we really did have to watch a bad one. This week it’s Dead or Alive. It’s such a great time as Duckman learns about jiggle physics. This movie is basically 90 mins of gratuitous shots of hot women in bikinis doing dodgy looking martial arts. Everyone fights, no one dies, everyone does the splits. This is sucky movie, but an amazing, giggle filled review!

So get listening, what else are going to do during lockdown? Get this show, get some laughs and some nerd news goodness. So sit back, relax and enjoy some 3PB in your life.

  • MFXtra: The Scottish Announce Table – Ep 6.
We’ve got a monster of a show for you this week folks. Sit back and strap in as the lads talk all kinds of fun pro wrestling subjects. There’s more chat around recent talent lay-offs, Vince McMahon and his shady business moves with the XFL. The lads discuss the new WWE and AEW TV taping schedule and still can’t fully get behind the decision to continue to run these shows.

It’s been a tough couple of weeks for Velveteen Dream and Nia Jax. One of them is accused of sending some naughty pictures to an under-age boy, the other nearly killed a co-worker, again. So the lads have plenty to say on those subjects.

The lads talk the weirdest thing to happen in WWE for a few weeks – Vince McMahon’s appearance during the tribute to HHH’s 25 years with the company. Plus they cover two episodes of The Dark Side of the Ring Series – The Brawl for All and Jimmy Snuka episodes. One of these shows was not as fun to watch as the other.

The show is wrapped up with the random retro PPV review. This week it’s WCW’s Slamboree 1993. What a weird show this was. Half tribute to old timer wrestlers, half typical early 90s WCW rubbish. The said, the lads had a fun time watching this show, thanks to Dick Murdoch and Thunderbolt Patterson!

Plus they marvel at how fake Eric Bischoff is, how all the old timers want a piece of Missy Hyatt, plus they love them some weird promos and Stu Hart trying to remember who his daughters are married to. This show also has the most underwhelming and disappointing announcements of all time as Paul Roma joins the Four Horsemen. Yeah, we don’t get it either. Plus some fun matches and some terrible finishes to review. A damn fun time was had reviewing this show, hope you guys have as much fun listening.

Duckman and George ‘The Animal’ Peel are here to bring a little fun into your life. This is another damn fun show, with plenty of laughs and insight to get you through another long day on lockdown. As always thanks for listening and be sure to get involved with the show through all the usual channels.

Welcome one and welcome all, the bar is open, the drinks are poured, so raise a glass to all the biggest nerd news stories of the past couple of weeks. Join your heroes Duckman and Marc Abrigo as they give nerd news the full 3PB treatment. On the show this week…

Some COVID-19 lockdown chat to kick things off this week, of course. There’s tales of Marc’s new mask and his new glorious man-bun. Duckman gives the low down on his new CBD oil use, and his terrible Fortnite skills (thankfully his 9 year old nephew saves his ass on a regular basis). Only 3PB can bring this level of giggles to COVID-19 lockdown chat.

The lads talk the sad news that San Diego Comic-Con has been cancelled for the first time in its 50 year history. Marc is more upset about the BTS concert he was due to attend has been cancelled. Duckman says goodbye to Arrow as he FINALLY got to watch the series finale. Marc has some news on a reboot of a reboot with the new Green Hornet movie being announced. The lads wonder if the world really needs, or wants, a new Green Hornet movie and discuss the obsession with movie studios creating cinematic universes.

The lads discuss the news that Sam Raimi has been confirmed as the new director of Dr Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Raimi has a strong track record with his Spider-Man trilogy and the lads discuss what Raimi could bring to this much anticipated movie. JJ Abrams new deal with HBO/Warner Brothers has been announced and he’ll be taking a stab at a Justice League Dark TV show. The lads give their thoughts on this news. Plus cover a Batman movie that was never made and have a few final words on Joe Exotic and Tiger King.

The highlight of the show, as always, is Hell on Reels. The lads sit down to review some bad movies, chosen by you the listeners. This week it’s time for The Fantastic Four from 1994, which looks like it was made in 1974! We won’t give too many spoilers for this review, but we’ll just say it’s a straight to video Marvel movie, with no budget, a bizarre script, some completely wooden performances, terrible direction and even worse special effects. This is one of the most fun things ever on 3PB. Strap in, this is a hell of a ride.

So get listening, what else are going to do during lockdown? Get this show, get some laughs and some nerd news goodness. So sit back, relax and enjoy some 3PB in your life.

  • MFXtra: The Scottish Announce Table – Ep 5.
Can you guess what we’re talking about this week? Just when you thought Tiger King was the craziest story you’d hear during the COVID-19 lockdown, step forward Vince McMahon and WWE. There’s no tigers involved in this story folks. Nope, just a lot of under handed political manoeuvring (our lawyers say we’re not allowed to say ‘bribe’), some ridiculously cruel timing, and one of the most disgusting example of putting profits before people.

The lads go all out and have their rant pants on for this show. They discuss all the latest from Vince and WWE, with talent cuts, ‘essential service’ shenanigans and so much more. If you’re a fan of Vince McMahon, capitalism and billionaires using a pandemic to make more money at the expense of the hard working people who got them there, this won’t be the show for you. If you’re sane, and hate all that, you’re going to love this.

The lads also pay tribute to the recently passed WWE legend Howard Finkle.  They also cover all the latest in-ring news from WWE and AEW. The show is wrapped up this week with the first random retro PPV review. It’s time for some good old fashioned ‘rasslin as the lads review WCW Chi-Town Rumble from 1989. We’ve got mullets, we’ve got cocaine fuelled promos (lots of them), we’ve got red hot 80s wrestling crowd, we’ve got Dave Meltzer at ring side, and we’ve got a classic Ric Flair v Ricky Steamboat main event!! This was a hell of a fun show to watch, and this review is just as fun.

It’s been a long, insane and pretty horrible week in pro-wrestling, but don’t let that put you off. Duckman and George ‘The Animal’ Peel are here to bring a little fun, and a lot of ranting, into your life. It’s a damn fun show, with plenty of laughs and insight to get you through another long day on lockdown. As always thanks for listening and be sure to get involved with the show through all the usual channels.

  • MFXtra: 3 Pints with Betty – Ep 17.
Welcome one and welcome all, the bar is open, the drinks are poured, so raise a glass to all the biggest nerd news stories of the past couple of weeks. Join your heroes Duckman and Marc Abrigo as they give nerd news the full 3PB treatment. On the show this week…

The lads kick off with a quick coronavirus catch up, with three fun news stories about the on-going situation including the Chief Medical Officer of the Scottish government making a massive mistake, idiots setting 5G communication masts on fire because they believe it is transmitting coronavirus, and a top footballer who told everyone to social distance and then threw a wild sex party with hookers just a day later. See, there is some fun to be had around this, you just have to find the dumb people.

There’s only one thing the lads can talk about this week and that’s the insane new Netflix documentary series Tiger King. As you’ll know if you’ve seen this show, it’s one of the most bizarre and wildly entertaining shows the lads have ever seen. They have a hell of a lot of fun talking about all the main players in this weird and wonderful world.

Marc has seen something Duckman hasn’t, so it’s time for another edition of ‘But Have You Seen This?’ There’s a fun story behind this one! Plus Marc has a great time watching the two new Jumanji movies to celebrate his five year anniversary. There’s some news on the Marvel phase 4 movies being put back.

Marc talks video games, the announcement of the indefinite delay of Last of Us 2, plus he gives some great information on the ‘crunch’ issues surrounding the release of big games. Duckman has all the inside information on Zack Snyder’s recent watch along of his Batman vs. Superman movie and the lads try to make sense of his ideas for the movie and his really strange explanations for some of the bigger plot holes in that movie and Justice League.

The lads wrap the show up with a new feature – Hell on Reels – where they review bad movies suggested by the listeners of the show. The first edition takes a deep dive look at DC’s Suicide Squad. There’s a ton of fun to be had with this dumpster fire of a movie, terrible script, bizarre performances, one of the worst big bad characters in comic book history. The lads struggle to make sense of this movie but have a great time trying. This is a super fun review of a really poor movie.

So get listening, what else are going to do during lockdown? Get this show, get some laughs and some nerd news goodness. So sit back, relax and enjoy some 3PB in your life.

We’ve got a special bonus episode of the Scottish Announce Table podcast for you lucky people. Duckman and George ‘The Animal’ Peel are back with full reviews of both nights of this year’s WrestleMania! This will go down as one of the weirdest and most memorable WrestleMania shows of all time. Not just for the empty arena, but also because of some of the most unique matches presentations in WWE history.

The lads give all their thoughts on all the major happenings from both nights. With plenty of discussion around two of the most unique and creative things WWE have ever done – The Boneyard Match and The Fire Fly Fun House Match (that wasn’t really a match). Plus they talk some of the weird booking decisions and wonder if the Edge vs. Randy Orton match is still going on right now. Tons of fun to be had with this show folks, plus the lads mark out as their fellow Scotsman Drew McIntyre becomes WWE Champion! That’s right, Duckman and George ‘The Animal’ Peel are back at the Scottish Announce Table and they’re ready to rock your world once again. On the show this week…

It’s always good to check in on your friends and see how they’re coping with the coronavirus lockdown, so the lads get that out the way nice and early. It’s WrestleMania weekend, so it’s time for another Get to Know George segment, this time based all around his favourite moments from WrestleMania. Plus there’s some chat about his favourite promo guys and more.

The lads get deep and serious with an in-depth look at the recent Dark Side of the Ring documentary on Chris Benoit. It’s a really great documentary, fair and balanced, and the lads discuss all the major talking points from it. Then it’s time to lighten the mood as the lads preview this year’s WrestleMania card, talk all things empty arena and have a chat about recent AEW shows.

They wrap the show up with a live watch along/review of a match suggested by a listener, this week it’s an absolute classic – Rey Mysterio vs. Eddie Guerrero from WCW Halloween Havoc 1997. Watch along with Duckman and George as they mark out at this slice of pro wrestling perfection.

Welcome one and welcome all, the bar is open, the drinks are poured, so raise a glass and let’s get all fucked up on the biggest nerd news stories of the past couple of weeks. Join your heroes Duckman and Marc Abrigo as they give nerd news the full 3PB treatment. On the show this week…

Of course there’s coronavirus chat to open the show, what else can we kick the show off with? Duckman and Abrigo talk their own self-isolation experiences and how life has been going for them. They talk how celebrities have reacted to the situation and have a lot of fun with that. Someone hacked Marc’s Netflix account and most of the first part of the show is Duckman filling in as Marc tries to get his account unlocked. Shout out to Kenneth from Netflix who saved the day and got Marc’s account unlocked.

It’s not all coronavirus talk though folks. There’s another edition of ‘But Have You Seen This?’ Where the lads talk about things the other hasn’t seen yet. Duckman is all about Avenue 5 and the new War of the Worlds series. Marc is heading back to Westworld for Season 3.

Marc brings us all the news on the ‘butt hole cut’ of the terrible movie Cats. This leads the lads onto a quick round up of this year’s Razzie awards. As you’d expect, it’s pretty much a clean sweep for Cats. Loads of movies and TV shows have either been cancelled or had production pushed back and the lads cover some of these. There’s also a load of films being released early on digital and the lads cover these.

The lads gives their thoughts on the news of Rosario Dawson being cast as Ahsoka Tano in season 2 of The Mandalorian and the news that Robert Rodriguz will direct episodes of the next season. Duckman wraps the show up with a quick story about trying to work from home with his Dad, the legend Grumpy Duck Senior. Plus the lads discuss an idea for a future segment where they review movies suggested by you.

What else are going to do during lockdown? Get this show, get some laughs and some nerd news goodness. So sit back, relax and enjoy a bit of 3PB in your life.
