  • MFXtra: The Scottish Announce Table – Ep 2.
So, the world is pretty insane right now. How’s your self isolation going? Bit bored? Yeah, us too.  But fear not, we’ve got Duckman and George ‘The Animal’ Peel broadcasting from their secret bunker, deep in the heart of the Scottish highlands, in front of no fans! It’s two hours of pro wrestling chat with a slightly Scottish slant to it and by God it’s good.

The lads talk the ongoing coronavirus catastrofuck and give their take on this madness and how it’s affected their lives over the past few days. Don’t worry, it’s not all doom and gloom, they do manage to get some laughs out of this scary situation. Once that’s out the way, it’s time to get to know George. We learn all about how he got into wrestling, his favourite wrestlers and matches from down the years. It’s a fun trip down memory lane for everyone!

With the coronavirus making every wrestling promotion its bitch, the lads talk the impact its had on the world of wrestling.  They cover the now postponed WWE Hall of Fame and the so far not cancelled WrestleMania.  There’s loads to discuss here, including thoughts on the empty arena shows and the lads question if WrestleMania should still go ahead.

They wrap the show up with Duckman’s quick review of AEW’s Dynamite, which despite the empty area, was an entertaining and kind of fun little show.  So there you go, the sound track to the end of days, brought to you by two vivacious Scotsmen in the woods. As always thanks for listening and be sure to get involved with the show through all the usual channels.

  • MFXtra: 3 Pints with Betty – Ep 15.
Welcome one and welcome all, the bar is open, the drinks are poured, so raise a glass and let’s get all fucked up on the biggest nerd news stories of the past couple of weeks. Join your heroes Duckman and Marc Abrigo as they give nerd news the full 3PB treatment. On the show this week…

(This show was recorded last week, so enjoy Duckman and Marc completely under selling the seriousness of the Corona-virus outbreak.  By the time the next show goes up, we’ll probably all be dead!)

It’s been six long months since the last 3PB and in that time Duckman and Marc have watched tons of stuff, that the other one hasn’t! So this show is one of those shows were they talk about things they liked, but can’t spoil any of it for each other.  Don’t worry, it’s tons of fun.  They cover all kinds of stuff like The Mandalorian, Rise of Skywalker, Crisis on Infinite Earths, Titans Season 2, Birds of Prey and the Harley Quinn animated show.

There’s some chat around the latest leaks from the new Batman movie and the lads discuss the bat suit and the Batmobile and how it all looks. Duckman loves The Witcher and it’s amazing song. The lads discuss the show and how much they enjoyed it.  They wrap the show with some chat around HBO’s new show based off the game The Last of Us. They put forward their choices for who should play the main characters.

As always thanks for listening and be sure to get involved with the show through all the usual channels.  Make sure you share the hell out of this show, because if you do, Marc will tell a fun Abrigo story about him possibly going home with two porn stars!

This is a super fun, news packed show that you really can’t afford to miss. So sit back, relax and enjoy a bit of 3PB in your life.

  • MFXtra: The Scottish Announce Table – Ep 1.
From the ashes arises a new wrestling podcast. Yep, something the world is sorely missing – another wresting podcast.  But that’s what we’ve got here for you lucky people.  While MFX remains on hiatus the world of wrestling continues to turn and there’s a couple of cheeky Scotsman in the MFX Galaxy who’ve got some shit to say!
That’s right – Duckman and George The Animal Peel are sitting down at The Scottish Announce Table, to talk all things pro wrestling.  It’s the test run episode so there’s kinks to iron out, flow and chemistry to grow and the actual style of the show to develop.
Still, hopefully this first (of hopefully many) episodes of The Scottish Announce Table brings you guys a few fun moments and some insight on the worlds of WWE and AEW. It’s a review packed show to kick things off.  The lads talk WWE’s Saudi Show, the bizarre booking around it, the terrible finishes and just what the hell Vince McMahon is thinking with all this.
Duckman watched RAW all the way through the first time in around 2 years just for this show. It’s wasn’t as bad as he thought, but it still wasn’t very good. George has been watching everything, so he guides Duckman through the weird world of RAW. It’s a fun little review.
Of course Duckman is a AEW mark. Of course he’s going to gush about AEW Revolution PPV and things AEW.  George isn’t as up to speed, so Duckman guides him through the show and all the goings on in AEW.
Hopefully you guys enjoy the show.

  • MFXtra: 3 Pints with Betty – Ep 14.

Sometimes there’s a story told on a podcast that makes you laugh, cry and you will never forget for the rest of your life.  This week, Marc Abrigo has one of those stories. It’s a tale of Fatman and Little Boy. It’s about poop. It’s beyond funny. Honestly, Duckman nearly died with laughter during this story.

After that it’s nerd news time. Spider-Man is back in the MCU! Woo hoo! The lads discuss this and give all the low down on what’s gone on and talk about the future for everyone’s favourite web slinger. The main main involved in all of this is of course Kevin Feige and Feige is also developing a new Star Wars movie. Marc, being the man in the know when it comes to all things Lucasfilms, gives his thoughts on this and the lads discuss future Star Wars projects.

It’s not all Disney owned franchise news this week though. Over at Warner Bros James Gunn has announced the cast for his Suicide Squad movie and the lads have a quick chat about this news and which actors could play certain characters in the Squad.

Warner Bros biggest movie of the year, Joker, is released this week and with all the controversy surrounding the movie’s release the lads discuss this and come to the conclusion that the problem isn’t a movie with violence or whatever, the problem is easy access to guns and no free mental health care in the US. It’s not fair to blame movies or video games for gun violence in society when such easy access to weapons of death is available.

There’s some chat about the news that Jurassic World 3 will include the original cast members from Jurassic Park and what this kind of nostalgia casting means for reboots and sequels.  Plus there’s a fun little story to wrap the show up about a guy who took acid, went to Disneyland Paris and had a terrible time.

This is a super fun, news packed show that you really can’t afford to miss. So sit back, relax and enjoy a bit of 3PB in your life.

  • MFX175 – There’s Been An Incident…
It’s that time once again – MFX is back to bring you the kind of loosely based around pro wrestling podcast that will tickle your funny bone until you squirt. Join your heroes Duckman and Sir Ian Trumps as they traverse the week in pro wrestling, pop culture and everything in between. On the show this week…

We’re baaaack!!!  Three months without MFX in your life is just not fair.  We’re sorry we’ve denied you our greatness for this long.  Thankfully we’re back and while we might be a little light on actual wrestling chat, we’re super heavy on hilarious stories from Sir Ian Trumps and his travels around the world over the last few months.

The lads kick off with a quick lament on the current state of Brexit.  It’s been three months since the last show, we’ve changed Prime Minster and now have a budget Donald Trump with a thesaurus in charge.  He’s suspended parliament to try and sneak through a no deal Brexit.  The lads are basically sickened by the whole thing, but then again they’ve never agreed with any of this Brexit bollocks from day one.

The show is basically all Sir Ian’s travel stories.  And what awesome stories they are.  Hear all about his First Class flight to the States, his time in Atlanta, his strip club visits, his trip to Nashville, his heroic amounts of drinking.  Plus ‘the incident’ which leaves Duckman crying with laughter.  Then it’s onto Amsterdam for his friend’s 40th birthday.  More tales of bad behaviour, drunken nights and all the usual shenanigans that going to The Dam entails.  Duckman is a veteran of The Dam but this was Sir Ian’s first visit and it surely won’t be his last.

Duckman tries to fill Sir Ian in on the last three months in pro wrestling, with some WWE, AEW and Impact chat, but in all honesty, everything interesting in wrestling will kick off next month.  There’s still some fun to be had but really this show is all about Sir Ian’s stories from his travels.  And they’re awesome!

As always thanks for listening and be sure to get involved with the show through all the usual channels.

What happens when Marc meets Aquaman?  Hilarity, that’s what.  Hear all about what happened when Abrigo met the sexiest man on the planet, Jason Mamoa, and the result being the most hilarious photograph ever taken.

It’s not all embarrassing things that happened to Abrigo this week, there’s also a ton of nerd news for the lads to discuss.  There’s a new Terminator movie coming and the lads have their say on this and if they’re hyped for this reset of the Terminator universe.  The Joker trailer has dropped and the lads have plenty to say about this already hugely hyped and anticipated movie.  There’s some Marc Maron vs. Marvel fans feud news.  They talk all the big announcements from D23.  Spider-man leaving the MCU and what this means for the future of the character.  They wrap the show up with a spoiler filled review of the amazing Amazon Prime show, The Boys.  Marc also has some exciting news about a new project he’s recently been cast in.

This is a super fun, news packed show that you really can’t afford to miss.  So sit back, relax and enjoy a bit of 3PB in your life.

So. Much. News.  It’s been a few weeks since the last 3PB and we’ve got a ton of stuff to cover.  The lads are all about new Amazon Prime show The Boys and talk in a non-spoiler fashion about how incredible this show is.  There’s some chat about Jessica Jones season 3 and the end of the Marvel Netflix shows.

Then it’s Comic Con chat time! All the big news from Marvel, DC TV and so much more covered here.  They go super deep on all their favourite announcements from Comic Con.  Plus they freak out at the casting news for the upcoming Arrow-verse CW cross over event Crisis on Infinite Earths.  The lads also pay tribute to one of their heroes Kevin Smith.  This is a super fun, news packed show that you really can’t afford to miss.  So sit back, relax and enjoy a bit of 3PB in your life.

  • MFXtra – Retro Review Show: In Your House 2.
Time to go back in time again folks! We’re balls deep in mid 90s WWE and this week we follow up King of the Ring 95 with our full review of WWF In Your House 2.  And what a show this was!

We’ve got all the big questions to ask, such as did Vince buy the homes he gave away as part of this gimmick from George Bluth from Arrested Development?  Is Jeff Jarrett actually one of the most under rated carny workers of all time?  And where the hell did Lex Luger get his billowy shirts from?

We have the usual lame appearances by Savio Vega, Mable, 123 Kid, The Roadie, and the rest of the losers that made up the roster at this time.  There’s some fun to be had with a Summerslam promotion video that makes Diesel appear to be a sex offender.  There’s a GREAT match between Shawn Michael and Jeff Jarrett for the IC Title.  Plus a main event for the ages – Diesel vs. Sid in a Lumberjack Match.  It’s so horrible and so funny.

So sit back and relax as we review WWF In Your House 2, a decent PPV for the mid 90s but an absolute horror show to watch in 2019.  Remember everyone, bad wrestling makes good MFX and this is some good MFX!

  • MFX Retro Review Ep 1 – WWF King of the Ring 1995.
Join your heroes Duckman and Sir Ian Trumps as they traverse the history of WWE’s PPV events.  It’s our Retro Review show and it’s a damn fun journey into the past.  We’re hitting the ground running with one of the worst WWE PPVs of all time – King of the Ring 1995.

So sit back and enjoy this jaunt down memory lane as we go back to the era of Vince McMahon on commentary, Michael Hayes on cocaine, every wrestler having a part time job, fun as hell promos and some incredibly crappy matches!  We have great fun at the expense of Savio Vega.  We’re shocked to find out that the 12 year old lesbian turned out to be 1, 2, 3 Kid.  We marvel at King Mable’s massive pyjamas and how his manager Mo is a 65 year old human bowling ball.  All that and so much more wrestling comedic gold.

These retro review shows go up on our Patreon page and this show is a little taster of the fun you can join in with if you sign up today.  You can access these shows, plus other bonus MFX and 3PB content from as little as $1 per month.  So if this show tickles your funny bone and you’d like to hear more, head on over to www.patreon.com/mfxpodcast and sign up today.  You get extra shows and you can also help with the hosting costs of the show.

  • MFXtra: 3 Pints with Betty – Ep 11.

It’s been a while since we posted a show, so here’s a monster 3PB to make up for it.  Marc checks in to let us know that he’s survived the recent earthquakes in California.  Thankfully!  But that’s not the big news, the big news is we’ve got a ton of nerd news to talk about.  Marc laments the fact that a show he really enjoyed, Swamp Thing, was cancelled before the first episode finished airing.  There’s non-spoiler chat about Spider-Man: Far From Home and Stranger Things Season 3.  The lads are SO on board for both of these and will be doing full spoiler filled reviews of both over on the MFX Patreon page in the next few weeks.  So there’s two more reasons to sign up to the page!

Did you know mermaids can’t be black?  Well apparently that’s what racists think and they’ve all got their white hoods in a bunch about the casting of a black actress in the live remake of The Little Mermaid.  The lads have plenty to say about this nonsense and the real motivations behind this latest slice of ridiculous online outrage culture.

The lads are happy to report that Paul Rudd has been cast in the upcoming sequel/reboot of Ghostbusters.  Marc has a fun story about a woke computer game journalist who tried to be super woke and ended up looking super stupid.  Duckman laments the death of Vertigo comics to wrap the show up. It’s a super fun show, with so many different nerd news topics hit it should come with a health warning.
