On this episode of Neon Galactic, we interview Michael Phillip, host of the popular Third Eye Drops podcast, about his show, his thinking, and how a recent out-of-body experience has impacted his life. 

Third Eye Drops is a long-running and popular podcast that covers a broad range of subjects and phenomena that challenge the predominant materialistic worldview and feature the work of such important thinkers as Car Jung, Iamblichus, and others. 

His cross-disciplinary approach, wide-ranging guest list, and fantastic conversations have helped me in shaping my own journey, as he often wrestles with the same issues and questions I do here. 

We discuss his recent experience at a Monroe Center retreat, where he experienced and out-of-body state that was both scary and revelatory. He gives us a brief history of the center and of the methodologies used. 

We discuss how that system parallels the thinking of sources as varied as the theosophists, the trans-Himalayan wisdom tradition, neoplatonism, hermeticism and more. 

Phillip demonstrates his deep knowledge of the subject matter and his easy-going disposition in this wonderful conversation.
