The gang abandons their wife this week as they review the non-Boyle follow up to small Brit zombie hit... this week it's 28 Weeks Later (2007). With a whole new cast, new director, and a new writer this follow yup to 28 Days Later was noted as a sort of cash grab by Alex Garland and Danny Boyle alike. And while it doesn't have the same secret sauce that the original did, there is still plenty to love about this Post Apocalyptic Dystopian movie that is kicking off our new topic for the month of July.

The gang goes way back to the beginning as they review a noir that arguably started it all, The Maltese Falcon (1941). This ultra stylized noir closes out Detective June on the show, and even though Pete is away to places unknown, the gang break down this classes film for you, the class. Do you land on the side of Joseph, or Tyler, or neither? Watch first, then tune in to find out.

The gang never grows up this week as they review the fantastically underrated neo noir gem, The Kid Detective (2020). Pete's pick for Detective June is one that has been brought up on the show many a times, yet still fresh to both Joseph and Tyler alike. Will this Canadian indie dramedy land for the gang, or is Pete high on his own supply? Watch along and decide for yourself.

The gang gets their dose of Dutch angles this week as they review The Third Man (1949) as the second entry for Detective June. While not starring Orson Welles, that seems to be the name and face most commonly attached to this film, in retrospect. Follow along with in post-war Vienna, as an American author and the local authorities try to find out who is The Third Man.
