BACKGROUND
In the run up to the 2016 election, a website called 4Chan hosted a strange channel in which a mysterious figure, purporting to be a Government insider with the codename ‘Q’, would place oblique or cryptic messages often of a prophetic nature. This continued throughout the administration of 45 and still now wields power over some of it’s audience, especially right-wingers and supporters of former President Trump.
But up until now, and probably well beyond, nothing more is known of Q, save for the ability to make predictions which don’t happen. However, the Q phenomenon has produced something interesting in the United States in the wake of January 6th and beyond, providing a life raft of belief to those unable to accept the result of the 20/20 election, whilst also demonstrating through external examination of the beliefs Q encourages, a certain detachment from critical or indeed logical thinking.
