Our family has faced no other battle quite like the one we fought from January to June 2021. Through every high and every low, my mom led by example with the fiercest faith. Even to her last breath, she remained steadfast and strong in her devotion to the Lord and to us. 

In today's episode, I vulnerably chronicle the last six months of her life on earth. It is probably the most personal episode I've ever recorded and it was incredibly therapeutic. As you listen, I know you will walk away in beautiful disbelief for how my mom maintained her faith despite all she was up against, and empowered to live more like her. I know that's how I feel.

I am fiercely protective of my brother, and advocacy for him and for others with Down Syndrome is what pumps through my blood. In this episode, I share my heart for inclusion, the things I have learned and experienced as a former special education teacher and a passionate sister who has immersed herself in Down Syndrome awareness, what causes Down Syndrome, what it's like to have a family member with Down Syndrome, how you can best support and stand with families who have children or siblings with Down Syndrome, and how you yourself can be an advocate.
