In this week's episode of Mindcation we discuss the things that are going on around the lifting world such as the CrossFit scandal, the attempted World Record bench mishap, and a couple other things. We round out the episode by following a suggestion that was made by a listener of ours. All of us had to go out and research something that we thought everybody else doesn't know about then present it on it. Needless to say there were some very interesting topics that were picked by everyone. Come have a listen and let us know what you got out of the episode. You might be more prepared for a trivia show after this!
In this week's episode we explore the major Supreme Court rulings that happened this week and what those means to us. We talk about the lack of human compassion at a government level when talking about the potetial impact these rulings could've had. Then we talk for a bit about ideas we have on how we could potentially improve the government systen we have right now, We finishe by deciding which one of us would make the best President and then there was a three man campaign battle for VP! This week we decided to do something a little more fun and had a game show episode. Not just any game show, a trivia game about ourselves titled "How well do you know your co-hosts?" This episode is one of the most entertaining episodes to date out of any of the seasons! Obviously there had to be something at stake. We decided that instead of rewarding the person who won, we are going to punish the person with the least amount of points. This individual will get pied in the face by the other three members! Come have a listen and find out who is getting this wonderful dessert all over their face!
This week we decided to use our platform as a way to continue the conversation of everything that has been going on in our country following the murder of Mr. George Floyd. We felt the need to address why it is important to have these tough conversations about race and oppression, especially with the people we are most close to. We are unable to relate to what it is like to grow up in the big cities like a Chicago, Los Angeles, or New York City. We based our conversation on what it is like to grow up in Nebraska and how these race conversations have been avoided for far too long. We hope that through this episode you are able to learn a little more on the importance of having these conversations as hard as they may be in order to move forward as a country. Please feel free to share with us your comments as we'd love to continue the conversation. This is by no means an exhausted conversation. This is only the beginning of hopefully many more we can have with each other and many other people as well.
The country seems to be opening back up so we decided to take a deep dive into everything we've learned during the last two months. Habits, self-discoveries, bad hair decisions, gains, and many more.
It is finally time for the long awaited return of the Mindcation team! This is the premier episode of season 3!
