Mission Spooky

Join JC and Kiki as we take on the legendary PA cryptid ... The Squonk!  We also discuss evidence collected by New Zealand geneticist, Dr. Neill Gammel concerning Nessie and answer some listener questions.

Join JC and Kiki as they travel two "haunted" PA roads, Constitution Dr. in Allentown, PA, and Dark Hollow Rd. in Warwick Township, Bucks County. Kiki breaks down the geography, folk tales, and history of each location. By the end of this episode, you’ll know what is fake, and what could be real based on historical facts.

Join Kiki and JC as they fumble through Ouija Boards! Are they real? Are they fake? Who knows! They're not going to sugar coat this one! From people walking in on them while they were recording, to dogs (all rescue) barking for no reason, they had challenges to overcome! But, they managed to salvage it! .

JC tells us a bit about what it's like being part of a paranormal investigative team and regales us with his favorite haunted house story.

Hail good Spooksters! Just in time for Samhain, listen as Kiki reads her re-telling of  the Irish Legend of Stingy Jack.

ERRATUM: " When i was discussing the Dis/Disir, I failed to mention that these were the FEMALE family ancestors who are connected to Freya. But during the Wild Hunt, you could still be visited by family members who were fallen warriors out gallivanting with Odin, your female ancestors who were Disir AND that family ancestors in general are welcomed into the home during Winternights. I could do a whole episode on just the Dis/Disir as it is a bit confusing and even scholars can't agree on who they were - suffice to say, they are our honored dead, FEMALE ancestors or protective family spirits of the FEMALE persuasion."  - Kiki

Kiki explains how Enchanted Eats episodes will work and talks about Hearth Magic and how it will tie in with these segments as well as how Mission Spooky will be treating Magik/Magic going forward.

The Black Horse was a 1920s speakeasy run by the coal country mafia known as the Men of Montedoro. Today, the Black Horse is haunted by the spirit of Saverio Damiano - a young Mafiosi cut down by rival gang members. All investigations say that Damiano's murder was unsolved but Kiki plunges into some heavy research and finds this is not only inaccurate but that the Mafia has a way of working things out within itself!

Thanks to Juanitos for their song "Strange Italian Song" (CC BY) which can be heard in our outro.
