What's going on everybody? This is Kyle Federman and you are now listening to the Mlm 2 freedom project. And today we're going to talk about elections and politics.
So here's the real question. How do MLMers like you and I grow a profitable home business without desperately begging our friends and families to join us but still be able to recruit extraordinary team members and create the freedom to enjoy the life we're trying to build. That's the big question. And this podcast is where you will get the answer. My name is Kyle Federman and welcome to the MLM 2 freedom project.
So I was actually going to record this during election time, but I've been busy running around. I actually got caught up in some real estate deals I was working on because essentially I'm trying to use my real estate deals to fund some of my marketing testing that I'm giving you guys some of the ideas I'm giving you guys that works. And then in turn, eventually when all this mlm stuff starts working out, um, and I have something that works, obviously you guys will know that it works. And you guys can use it too, but I'm all the money that I'm going to be making from my MLM. I'm just going to dump it straight into real estate and that's like, that's one of my angles. But obviously off the whole real estate topic and everything. We're going to talk about politics today.
So back in college, about two or three years ago, I actually had to take a politics class and the teacher had all these politicians come and they talked about their campaign because it was, I believe that it was the 2016 election when trump and hillary and all that. Like I, I really don't. I used to be obsessed with politics and like my fiance hated it because all I did was like arguing with people on politics and I kind of got over that stage. I don't know how. But during that class we actually had to go out and create a project at the end and do like a campaign or do a project on politics in how we would talk about politics and stuff. So a buddy of mine were like on the exact opposite sides of the political spectrum, so we thought it was cool to start a podcast.
So we started a podcast. We did like five or I think we did eight episodes and we went down that road and we did eight episodes and then we got done with the class and we got like a hundred percent I think on that project because we went above and beyond everybody. Like we got everything transcribed and all kinds of stuff and we literally just recorded it from our phones. So aside from that point, what I started to notice, because I got out of the politics thing, I honestly, I couldn't really care less who wins because I'm more focused on entrepreneurship and a politician is you can tell no matter how good or bad you may think they are, nobody really changes the way our are. And I wanted to talk about that because I want to talk about elections and how it relates to how bad politicians or a marketing.
Like they're literally the worst people I've ever seen marketing. So one, they're spending millions of dollars on signs and advertising, like I can't even imagine how much money the, uh, the sign advertising the sign makers actually make from this because the signs don't do anything. And if we go back to that 2016 election, I'm obviously not going to go into the politics and everything of it and I really don't care. But if you look at it in a deeper marketing standpoint, from a marketing standpoint, look who won it or now our sitting president, if you're in, if it's 2018 as of November or December 27th, 2018, they're now our sitting president and look at how he won. So if you, if you look at it and look at the way true internet marketers are making their money. One the Internet marketers are doing facebook lives all day, every day.
They're getting on facebook live, they're doing youtube videos. They're getting out there and spreading their reach and then they're boosting their, uh, these videos, these live videos or boosting them is paid traffic. So they're literally getting traffic to these live videos for people to see them. And get in, get to know them more and that's one of the keys to marketing. And then also like if you look at the signs, it says their name in giant letters, every single politician it has their giant name and it has a logo underneath and then it has like what party they're for and nobody cares obviously, like the, the people who are hardcore bent on politics like I was a couple years ago, they would see them be like, oh yeah, go that person obviously, because they were going to vote for them anyway. So why are you putting up signs with your name on it?
Like nobody cares about your name, nobody cares about your party, what people actually care about. And what I, what I've started to come to realize. And if you look at who won the 2016 election, look at what they did. Look at what their slogan was. Their slogan was a future based cause. I don't care. Like I said, I don't care what you think about Donald trump or hillary or whatever. But look at what his slogan was as opposed to Hillary's. Um, I can't remember, I can't even remember what Hillary's was, but Donald Trump's slogan was make America great again. It was a future based cause and it rallied people who were kind of on in the middle to kind of gear towards him because he had a future based cause. His cause was to make America great again and obviously, I mean I'm going to say save a hundred times this episode.
Like I, I really don't care about politics. I'm just diving deep into the marketing because there are so many politicians that are just so bad at it. And like if you're a politician, if you literally go buy a Russell expert secrets book, and I can put a link to it in the comments of this, but if you go by his expert secrets book and it's completely free, all you gotta do is pay the shipping. It's a funnel. It's a sales funnel. It's a marketing funnel. And if you go buy it and literally like rip off the cover and then put your own name on there and your own political, whatever, you could win more elections than anybody else. Like I've literally, if I, if I cared enough about politics, I could literally take this expert secrets book and go run for some type of office and I, I remember and it just, it just bugs me so much because politicians are so bad at marketing and it's literally like these giant blue ocean of being able to like get your message out there.
Like Hey, if I was a politician, obviously I'm not and I probably never will be because all the crap people dig into nowadays. I, I don't, I couldn't even deal with the personal aspect of it because I want my family to be out of the limelight and I want to be out of the limelight. I don't want to be this super popular person that everybody likes. Starts digging into my background and everything. I didn't do anything wrong that I know of, but it's just creepy and people do it just to like ruin people's lives and people's lives get ruined over it. But if I was running to be a politician, what would I do? And guys, this is, this is directly related to Mlm and marketing online because just take it as a stance of a politician and then just put it in your space.
If mom. So what would I do to become a politician into when that seed in office, whatever else running for first I would do a facebook live every single day. I would figure out what everybody wants. Actually first I would stop making these crappy signs or I would make a sign that said my future based cause on it in giant bold letters and then my name under it. In smaller letters, obviously they're not going to see your name first. They're going to see your giant future based cause like, Hey, make America great again. And then under it it would say Donald Trump, something like that. And then you would find out what the people in the middle of the political spectrum are trying to vote on and what they're. What the major causes they cheer for and what you would do instead of spending money on all this, all these stupid causes and all these stupid things that don't actually produce any money or produce any new votes.
Why don't you spend money on facebook ads running them to your live video? So one day you would talk about, hey, this is what my stance on guns. That's the first thing that came to mind because I'm actually building a a, a funnel for somebody in econ that's in like the gun and survival niche, but hey, what's my view on religion? What's my view on defense? What's my view on immigration? Like every single day up until the election day, you just run live videos and then you just run patriotic to it. So you are targeting the people who are interested in politics, but you're also swaying the people like you. Obviously the hardcore bent people are already going to vote for you. You don't want to convince them more devoted for you. They are already going to vote for you. You're wasting your money trying to market to them so you market to the people that are in the middle because obviously if you market to the people who are undecided, not already hell bent on giving you a vote, then you're going to guess what?
Get more votes and that's what's awesome about it is none of the politicians know this and quite frankly, I have seen some people in mlm starting to do this, but even mlm earners don't even know like, Hey, this is how to get the name of my product out there. This is how to get people attracted to me. People relate to seeing people on video. They and for some reason it gives the person who is taking the videos, like in this case, for me doing a podcast, it gives me a sense of status so people see it and they're like, oh, he's got a podcast, or oh, he's doing a live video every day about his product. He must be very smart and blah, blah, blah. I don't know why. It just triggers something in our brain that makes it seem like that, but that's one of the best ways to do it is you literally just go live on your business facebook page and then just run paid traffic to it.
Um, obviously you cannot promote or sell your products typically on facebook using facebook ads, but they're sneaky ways, Aka funnels that I'm trying to show you guys how to do so you guys can run facebook ads and stand out from every other mom are out there because you will create your niche, you'll create your own product and you'll create your own environment and Group of people and generate your own following, um, to come and join your downline or to come and buy your product and love your product and who are truly seeking these opportunities. So quick recap. I'm sorry about that. If, if the volume is a little different, essentially what happened was right in the middle of one of my sentences, my computer died. So I had to come back and start recording again. So number one, stop doing all those stupid signs that just have your name in big bold letters showing off your name, like nobody actually cares about your name and instead change it to some type of future risk cause like make America great again.
Or uh, even even Barack Obama won on a, it was called, I can't remember what it was, was it hope or something like that. So Barack Obama won using a future based cause called. And he just said hope and he just had his picture above it and nobody, he didn't even have his name. Isn't that crazy? Guy's maybe. Maybe there's some clues there like nobody cares about your actual name. Number two, I would start doing live videos using more social media. People are not using social media enough. Yeah. They're posting like, hey, come check out our product. Hey, come check out my opportunity. There's awesome people in this. Nobody cares. Start leading with some type of value that I've been giving you. So like the tips I've been giving you on creating other products to get people in the door or like to add on to your product.
Start giving that out on your social media posts or social media live videos are paid. Facebook ads, start giving that out for free and then it attracts people to you. It makes people know, like, and trust you. And finally the third thing I would do, instead of holding all these rallies for my already warm and existing audience, that's already going to vote for me instead of wasting all the money on that, I'm going to actually have a future based cause and like a marketing campaign instead of campaigning for myself in to the existing voter base, I'm going to mark or I'm going to mark it and have a campaign targeting people who are undecided. And how you do that is you would have like all kinds of say coupons like I, I can't think of anything off the top of my head right now. But just say you would go around to all the businesses that support you and instead of asking for a donation, you say, Hey, when you buy one of these packets today, one it supports me to.
You're going to get like $5,000 worth of coupons to all the local stores that support me so you can go when you go on your next shopping trip, you can go and save money, obviously. I don't know, like election laws and everything. I assume this is fine, but I would create like a marketing campaign around it just like you should around your product. Don't go sell your product and your opportunity straight up front. Like I said, guys, people want their backs to be scratched. What are, I heard it explained the best way once when the guy said, what's in it for me? And I, I can't remember who it was. Uh, my, my real estate mentor says it all the time. You got to figure out what the person you were selling to, what they want, and just give it to them. Give it to them for free, figure out what their beliefs are and help them.
Just give it to them. Anyway, guys, that's all I really had for this episode. I'm going to ask. I know I promised it, uh, about a month ago actually, that I would start doing more of these like almost every single day. Obviously that has not happened, um, because I actually got slammed in. I actually have been though doing live videos in my facebook group every single day.
