Too much gay crashed Matt’s hard drive (yes, another one!), and so our final 2025 Pride episode is dropping on the 4th of July. Fitting, because what’s more American than repressed senators dating twink heirs to a popcorn fortune?
Just like this week's movie: Traveling to Olympia (2001), a queer shot-on-video headscratcher set in the Pacific Northwest—the Wakanda for Gays, apparently. We follow Johnny, a traumatized twink with a duffel bag and one facial expression, as he washes dishes, processes trauma, and parties at gay cowboy bars—with beautiful musical interludes from the PNW greatest crooners. This is a weird one!
