Combatting modern slavery and wider human rights are playing an increasingly significant role in governance practices and have culminated in Australia with the passing in 2019 of the Modern Slavery Act 2018. Based on CPA Australia funded research, the podcast will examine motivations for development of the Act and explore the efficacy of a regime based largely on voluntary disclosure.
