Here we crack out some of that old, old, old school mixery. AKA “What Folk Means to Me Mix”, join Daniel, Joe, Rey, and Roland as they try and navigate the many types of folk music. Jk. That didn’t really happen. This was a fun experiment though. Some of us felt like trying to dig a bit outside the hegemonic (<—is too a word!) constraints of that golden, rag timey wimey genre and unearth some funky cheese poppers. Holy Shinto! Prepare for the legend centuries in the making of The Great White Ninja. Despite high hopes for the Chosen One, they were wrong…they were VERY wrong. He played with his nips, danced on a pole, screamed bloody murder at just about anything, became a pimp (who knew ninjas were rolling in so much skrilla?), slapped a guy in the face with fish, flirted with bomb disposal, and became a ninja master (mostly). It’s not his best work, but it is worth watching at least once or several times if you hate yourself. The guy was a King of the Sight Gag and a Lord of Slapstick. A Silly Bastardo that cut himself down in his prime like his own heroes did before him, allegedly. We suggest he’s kicking it with Elvis and Bowie in space. Regardless of our opinion on the matter, please join us as we sort of talk about Beverly Hills Ninja!

Holy Hell this movie is a hard pill to swallow even as Tromavids go. There is so much stupid to unpack here. It isn’t so-bad-it’s-good. It’s just bad. Worth watching at least once though for Mrs. Washinton’s patented Deathwish reenactment. Also, Nazis being nazzeez on the beach. Got some real mall-ninja-shit masterpieces in here. Check out the “switchboard”. I would sooner stab myself than try to use it on someone. That is some embarrassing garbage (I mean “art”). Get ready for a lot of sloooooow surfing scenes that go absolutely nowhere. Have some of Mama’s “home cooking”! …just watch it and see for yourselves.
