  • Ep. 76: Sonic the Hedgehog (The Life of Donut Lord)

Cinekuest Presents Sonic the Hedgehog: The Life of DonutLord aka Rise of the Eggmandork

Here is the last, last of our Year of the Game Movies series…for the year. Aaaanyways gotta go fast–like the studio did when they had to fix one of that year’s worst impending nightmare flop designs–and end up making arguably one of the most wholesome, cutesy, buddy-cop comedy experiences to date (for a video game franchise). Are we ever glad they did? Sonic looked like a demonic Jim Henson’s reject (until they redid the whole shebang). If you’ve lived off the grid for the past 30 years, you may have never heard of him, but Sonic is a talking hedgehog that can run faster than the speed of sound (it’s in the name), and is sent to Earth when he’s hunted off his home planet (but…is he an alien?). After growing up on his own, he is one lonely little blue (yes, also he is blue) mascot. I mean, he has friends. Best friends. They…just don’t know he exists…yet (not a figure of speech). So after a little snafu that knocks out the power grid for the coast (not a big deal c’mon), the military sends in the Scientist Supremo himself, the Master of Murdernerds, Ivo Robotnik. If Jim Carrey came after you, you’d probably try and leave the planet too. Yeah, he’s played by Jimbo himself. It’s great. Will Donut Lord and Pretzel Lady be enough to help Sonic escape?  Join Roland, Rey, and Daniel as we fail to keep it family-friendly.

The FInal Viewing: Dawn of the Beast

Okay, really quick here. Get Booze first. Then watch this movie. The studio definitely tried to do…something here. I mean it has Bigfoot and The Spirit of the Wendigo. Recipe for…success? Rey and Roland try to break it down.

  • Ep. 74: Silent Hill (Devil Nurse of My Dreams)

Cinekuest Presents–Every Horror Weebs Wet Dream–Silent Hill aka Devil Nurse of My Dreams

We have finally reached near the end of this year’s Viji Game Movie Greatness. So we decided to run with a movie that represents arguably the most famous game horror franchise–Silent Hill. Rose and Christopher da Silva have an adopted child who has some balls-crazy nightmares, and constantly flips her sh*t screaming about the town…of Silent Hill. Surprise! Just like that we have plotforce. So Rose takes it upon herself to grab zeh kiddie and GO GET IT DONE. Unfortunately, she has no idea that she’s driving into a very literal horrorscape. THE RED DELIGHT THEME PARK COMETH! We have cults, an actual hellworld, the bestest body horror, immolation, hot murder nurses, an unstoppable hulk-slasher, the fastest way to skin a cat (person), a barbed wire wishbone fatality–complete with a little girl dancing in a shower of blood. Clive Barker would like to have a word. There are so many references and influences in this movie, there’s no way we could get all this down in one episode. But here goes–join Daniel, Rey, and Roland as we almost finish Cinekuest’s Geeky-stravaganza with this Demonic Wonderland.

  • Ep. 21: The Monk Checks Out, Alien Pancakes & Black Market Babies (Strange News)

Aliens and Black Market Babies and Decapitated Monks–Oh My!Your favorite highly educated, highly misinformed trio of specialists are back, baby!! After nearly losing our precious mind meats covering Gods of Eden, we return with another edition of Strange News and, boy oh boy, there were some prime cuts of thiccness to work with. We bumble through a report on hidden alien remains at the Capitol Building, the FDA’s “God damned liberal conspiracy” to harvest those sweet sweet preemie organs, and the most metal way we’ve encountered (thus far) to clock out early from life. Did we mention pancakes from space? Because there are frickin’ PANCAKES from frickin’ SPACE! We also get introduced to a legit, OG Space Brother worried about our nukes ruining the galaxy and helps to ensure the Reptilians and other space dudes leave us alone. Join Roland, Rey, and Daniel-san, as we cover the latest in our Wonderful World of Weirdness.

  • Ep. 20:Gods of Eden-Part V(Books of the Strange Vol. 4)

We did it, folks! After rescheduling for this and that reason, we finally bring our coverage of The Gods of Eden to a close in a spectacular fashion! In this episode, we conclude Bramley’s wild romp through history–starting with the rise of Marxism–busting through “research” and “evidence”: such as lone wolf assassins from WWI to the 1980s, scams and problems with modern “scientific psychiatry”, continued (smells like someone has been eating propaganda beans) St. Germain “sightings” in the world, and of course you can’t forget–what warfare and alien overlords book review would be complete without Imperial and Nazi Germany? A tasty stew indeed *chef’s kiss*. Gotta watch those conspiracy theory calories though–they go straight to your a**. To foster further studies (and avoid taking flak), Bramley encourages others to carry the tinhat torch and continue to build off this “template” of the true history of the world we mere plebs fail to see. We’re superduper happy to be done here, so listen in as we finish with the definitive “framework” of Custodial studies.

  • Ep. 19: Gods of Eden-Part IV(Books of the Strange Vol. 4)

Here we are with round four of our Valley Strange: Books of the Strange. In chapters 21-30 of Gods of Eden, we’re introduced to the paper currency system’s origins and propagation through the countries of the world. It’s a pretty effective means to control the population and the economy. Then we go back to a familiar topic–the ideals and organization of one of arguably the most famous of secret societies–The Freemasons. Pawns of the Custodial overlords? Or was it yet another political boy’s club? Who’s really in charge? It isn’t the rats in the cage (wanna be King Ratty?), no matter how much they pretend otherwise. What would Nick Cage do in this situation?!?  He’d keep reading, probably. Join Rey, Daniel, and Roland as we go through another ten chapters of hidden history and how it all ties together…
