  • 5PM: Packers' Playoff Positioning
Jim Rutledge and Matt Hamilton (shirtless) roll into Hour 2 of their early 12-2pm show ahead of Monday night's Packers game versus the Saints. They continue to ask if it's more important that the Packers get their 11th win of the season or just come away with zero key injuries in tonight's game versus the injury-riddled Saints. While the Packers don't have much to gain as 14.5-point favorites versus New Orleans, can they start looking ahead to next week's matchup against the now 13-2 Vikings? Where do the Packers stack up against the NFC's other top contenders like the Vikings, the 13-2 Lions and the 12-3 Eagles, and how do they compare to the 10-5 Commanders? Jim, Matt and producer Primetime all make their longshot Don't Quote Me predictions for the Packers vs Saints game, including a cameo prediction from Molly Brown as she travels in the zoo on wheels for the holidays. Jim, Matt and Prime also play a Festivus-edition of Throwing Stones, as they air some grievances about getting your picture taken at Medieval Times, the Matt-ernity attendance competition, the NFL's Christmas schedule, and Matt trying to kill Primetime with an open sack of nuts!

  • 4PM: Free Kick Friday
Jim Rutledge takes the JM&M family into the weekend with Jon Arias subbing in for Matt Hamilton on this Phish Friday! Jim and Jon first congratulate Badgers volleyball star Sarah Franklin for announcing that she is joining Madison's pro volleyball team LOVB Madison following her final season of eligibility this year! They work their way back to two crazy sporting events from Thursday night, including the wonky free kick field goal that the Chargers took going into halftime of their win over the Broncos followed by an all-time collapse by Nebraska Volleyball, which blew a 2-0 lead to Penn State in last night's Final Four matchup! They cue the fans to chime in with the strangest niche rules in that they can think of in pro sports and in their own rec sports leagues. They also run through some of the all-time greatest comebacks/blown leads in sports history, leading off with Vikings fan Jon's submission of the 2014 NFC Championship Game. With the phone lines still not working at the ESPN Madison Everlight Solar studio, they pivot from Jason Wilde's usual Friday appearance on the show to discuss the devil inside all phones nowadays: social media platforms and how much toxic, time-wasting energy they pull from our lives.

  • 5PM: Phishy Phone Signals Friday
Jim Rutledge and Jon Arias roll into Hour 2 of Phish Friday when the phones are once again down at the ESPN Madison Everlight Solar studio. But, the talk & text line is still alive and well, and Jim triggers an "old" texter who was dilly-dallying with their time today at Costco. Jon fires back at the entire sports world for dunking on UW-Green Bay head coach and national radio host, Doug Gottlieb, who Jon feels was misrepresented in his "Nobody U" quote that surfaced after Wednesday's loss to D2 Michigan Tech. They continue calling out the olds with some of the awkward words that they feel should be eliminated from all grandparents' vocabulary. Jim and Jon wrap up their Phish Friday with a cheers to some more fish boils and the finest male soap operas.

  • 4PM: Trust Aaron Rodgers or Madden Ratings?
Jim Rutledge and Alex Gravatt hold down the show with Matt out for the next two days curling in the cold Minnesota snow. Jim and G start the show reacting to some of the insane nonsense coming from Aaron Rodgers and Jets' owner Woody Johnson, starting with the article in The Athletic outlining Johnson's rambuctious rule over the franchise. Is it crazier to trust what Aaron Rodgers says in his Netflix show "Enigma" or the fact that Woody Johnson reportedly let players' Madden ratings influence the Jets' free agency and roster decisions!?!? They ask if Aaron's narcissism would finally allow him to admit that he actually made a mistake when being traded to New York, and is Woody Johnson in the elite group of worst owners in sports? Severe winter weather is moving into Madison, so the show struggles to connect with fans and guests alike... Will we ever hear from Evan Cohen down at the Boca Raton Bowl again? They wrap up Hour 1 with the High Life Dive Bar of the Week -- Antler's Tavern in Monona --, which springs into a conversation about Jim's memories (or lack there of) from waking up in a South Florida bathtub after three too many Long Island ice teas!

  • 5PM: Packers Biggest Miss Since 2020
Jim Rutledge and Alex Gravatt finish up the lighthearted conversation about bathtubs to get into some more Packers conversation, discussing the ESPN article from Bill Barnwell today that ranked every NFL team's biggest miss since 2020. Barnwell claims the Packers' biggest miss was just over-drafting Quay Walker and Devonte Wyatt in 2022, but what are Jim, G and producer Primetime's picks for Gutey's biggest miss of the last 5 years? Jim makes a case that Gutey's biggest miss was the move that he DIDN'T make: moving off of Aaron Rodgers a year too late. After seeing how things have turned out for Rodgers in New York compared to Jordan Love over the past two seasons, is it fair to say for sure that the Packers should have moved to Love after the 2022 campaign? They wrap up with Throwing Stones, as fan-favorite Rob in Madison breaks through the downed phone lines to give his story of waking up in a bathtub in Minneapolis.

  • 4PM: Packers Wild-Card Jockeying
Jim Rutledge and Matt Hamilton hoist the in-season/midweek trophy on Wednesday's show, starting with a cheers to the Bucks for winning the NBA Cup Final! Jim and Matt discuss how impressive the Bucks looked in last night's 97-81 win against the Thunder, and they get ready to run through a brick NBA Cup court after hearing Giannis' postgame comments! Jim and Matt are hyped for winning the in-season tourney, but they wanna know which vibes the fans are feeling: YEAH!, That is neat, or Meh? Jim and Matt pivot to today's Packers conversation as they look past next Monday's matchup against the hobbled Saints. With the Packers currently situated as the 6-seed in the NFC playoff picture, they ask which wild-card spot the team is most likely to end up with. The Packers are virtually eliminated from winning the NFC North, but is there a realistic outcome where they can overcome the Lions or the Vikings for the 5-seed, and how worried should the Packers be about facing either the Rams or the winner of the NFC South in the wild-card round? They continue talking about Green Bay, but they focus on the university after UW-GB's brutal loss to D2 Michigan Tech. They listen to how part-time head coach and radio host, Doug Gottlieb, added insult to injury for his team by calling Michigan Tech "Nobody U" earlier this season... Jim and Matt try to dunk on Matt during Throwing Stones, asking him to name the 11 teams in UW-GB's league, the Horizon League, and they give Matt a chance to really show off his brains by throwing the 8 Ivy League schools into the mix as well!

  • 5PM: Doug Gottlieb Loses to "Nobody U"
Jim Rutledge and Matt Hamilton roll into Hour 2 of the show with "professor Matt" taking a victory lap after he was able to name 7 of the 19 schools in the Horizon League and Ivy League during today's Minute to Win It. They each take one more opportunity to dunk on UW-Green Bay head coach/radio host Doug Gottlieb losing to "Nobody U". They pivot back to today's conversation about which of the three playoff wild-card spots that the Packers are most likely to end up with, and is Matt still blinded by his Minnesota hatred when saying that he'd rather play the Lions than the Vikings in the playoffs? They play Molly's Game (with Wolly running things), as they pick some spreads in the Boca Raton Bowl, Thursday Night Football and the two Saturday NFL games along with a specialty prop on Patrick Mahomes' playing time. During Throwing Stones, they take a dunk on the Charlotte Hornets for being a grinch this holiday season and taking away a poor kid's PS5. The show wraps up with Scott and Garrett from Chalmers Jewelers joining the guys in-studio to show off some of the best holiday jewelry and watches found in Madison, which is worthy of a Dame-time title run (whether it's in the NBA Cup and the NBA Finals)!!!

  • Jason Wilde on JM&M
Jason Wilde joins Jim and Matt on today's breaking news episode regarding Badgers football. Jason joins the reaction to the news that Will Pauling and C.J. Williams have both entered the transfer portal this afternoon, and he gives his thoughts on the portal and his naivety about NIL after Trech Kekahuna's departure and return. Jim also pushes Jason on an enigmatic topic: Aaron Rodgers. They get into Rodgers rant on the Pat McAfee show after his new docu-series Enigma was released today, and Jason discusses how he's seen Aaron change since his times on the old radio show and even his own radio cameo in the new Netflix show! Matt asks Jason if his rating of the Packers team changed after the 30-13 win against the Seahawks, and his our bar for the Packers too high or too low as fans? Jason also provides what tier he'd put the Badgers in compared to the NFC's other top teams in Philadelphia, Detroit and Minnesota.

  • Chris Orr re-joins JM&M!
Jim and Matt are joined by Badgers legend and new HBCU national champion Chris Orr! Chris talks about winning the national championship as the linebackers coach at Jackson State this past weekend, his journey from training in the UFL to taking the job at Jackson State and how his connection to former Badgers DC Dave Aranda led him there. Matt can't help but ask Chris for his thoughts (from afar) on last season's Badgers team and what their biggest issue was. They also discuss the breaking news that Will Pauling and C.J. Williams are leaving the program, and Chris answer the question about whether more restrictions are needed for NIL or the portal? Chris wraps up naming some of his biggest influences as coaches and his dream job of one day coaching with his brothers!

  • 4PM: More Badgers to the Transfer Portal
Jim Rutledge and Matt Hamilton hold down Tuesday's show with full hour of breaking news for Wisconsin Badgers football, as wide receivers Will Pauling and C.J. Williams both entered the transfer portal just before the show. Jim and Matt discuss what their departures will mean for next season's offense, and they get into the difficulties facing the Badgers and all of college football: how to build a team culture, roster construction, and fan engagement and investment for an ever-changing cast of players. Jim throws out the question as to whether NIL or the transfer portal is the bigger issue and which needs to be restricted more by the powers that be (whoever they are).
