In this fun episode, I have the honor of introducing you to and chatting with Tricia Michler. Trish's husband is Ryan Michler, owner and creator of the Order of Man. It's a movement to reclaim and restore masculinity. When my husband started talking to me about the Order of Man and I saw the positive changes occurring for him, one of my first thoughts was, "Who's this dude's wife?" The power of the internet has allowed me to connect with her and bring her on the show, and this conversation did not disappoint.

Trish keeps bees, hunts, grows a garden, and preserves food for her family of 6. She raises animals and homeschools her 4 children. This episode focuses on Trish, her success as an individual and the value she brings to the table in her family through her self-empowered mindset.

Trish and I discuss SAHM life, the importance of challenging yourself, and bravery in trying new things. We touch on the struggles of finding your way and how to overcome that. We dive into the roles we play as women and the balance and beauty it brings to the home. We even chat about the stereotypes we still feel as full-time moms and homemakers and the mindset shifts we've had, in order to squash the judgement.

In this short and to the point episode I give you a powerful tool you can use to release the chaos, heaviness, and overwhelm going on in your head. I give a real-life example of my brain dump, tips and tricks for doing it yourself, and the honesty that this is not something you have to do every day. Because let's be honest, as a SAHM we absolutely don't have time to do ALL the things every day. In today’s very special episode I have two amazing women joining me. Amy Lenius and Sherysse Morris are hosts and creators of the Evolution of Mom Podcast. Their mission is to bring women together using a holistic and practical approach. Both are mamas but their roles are different, which I find is a true asset to their platform and their message. Amy is a SAHM who homeschool’s her boys, where Sherysse is a single mom who works full-time.

One the things I find absolutely beautiful about their message and you’ll see that in this episode, is that through their different personal situations currently, as well as their past traumas, they’re able to uncover and reveal the commonalities of struggles that ALL women are dealing with, regardless of their job or relationship status. Chatting with these ladies inspired me in multiple ways and we all agreed, the conversation left our buckets overflowing.

On a personal level, I loved the experience of raising each other up instead of competing against each other. Their message, though similar to mine, is still unique to them. They live their lives, embody and project their own message of, “When one rises, we all rise.” I hope you enjoy listening to this episode as much as I enjoyed recording it and that in the end, you feel as lifted up as I did.

With areas starting to open back up, and people quickly building confidence in social gatherings again, I discuss the emotional issues this can bring within your household if this is done too quickly. Are you already feeling pulled in countless directions? Are friends, family, and others making you feel guilty for not seeing them or not understanding your need to take it slow? Have you taken this time you've been home to reflect on your family's needs? Have you understood and  established  healthy boundaries for your family, in turn making it easier to decide what you do and when you do it outside of your home? It is your obligation to not only provide your family with opportunities to experience life, but also to provide healthy limitations. These boundaries give you the space to experience life together. To have the conversations and experiences you need to be having. Take it slow. Don't rush reopening. It will be a detriment to the work you have done in the past 18 months.
