  • Q & A - How We Choose to Educate Our Kids

This Q and A episode is personal and vulnerable. These thoughts and opinions which Brad and I have discussed, written down, and discussed again are our very own.  You may not agree with them, but that's fine by us.

  • Fill Your Cup!

Motherhood can be incredibly all-consuming, especially as a full-time mom. Let me ask you this. What are you doing in your day to add joy? In this episode, I talk about my struggle to feel joy and happiness at the end of the day, what I did to figure out the reasons why, and simple steps to take to end your day with a full cup.

  • Q&A - How to transition into SAHM life

I've been asked these types of questions numerous times. "What are your suggestions on transitioning into being a full-time parent? Do you have any tips, words of wisdom, etc." These questions are typically preceded with, "I'm just not sure if I can do what you do." Or, "How do you do it? I think I would go crazy."
In this episode, I share my tips, suggestions, and brutal honesty in what BECOMING and BEING a full-time parent/SAHM takes.
And folks, of all the people who have asked me these questions and whom I've answered to the very best of my ability, I can think of 1 who has actually moved forward with their interest in becoming a full-time parent. Why? Because it's really freaking challenging! On so many levels, it's challenging, and most people are not up for the challenge. I discuss those challenges and so much more in this episode.
Please remember, these are my personal opinions (I can honestly say I'm not alone in them) so don't shoot the messenger.

  • The Power of the Walk

I know it doesn't sound very exciting to listen to a podcast about going for a walk, but you will definitely be entertained by several of my stories in this episode (Spoiler alert! Locking my keys, and my 2 year old, AND my phone in my car) and definitely have several new things to take away and ponder.  It includes life lessons on being prepared, the power of a child's energy and curiosity, pushing through roadblocks to find your joy, and taking steps to pursue your passions without using your child as a means of limitation.

  • Q&A - What does alone time look like for me?

How do I find time away? How do I find my "alone time", especially when we were at the height of the pandemic and couldn't go many places. In this Q & A episode, I share with you my go-to strategy that has worked for me in getting time to myself, entirely guilt free. I encourage you to find what works for YOU and YOUR family, but since it was asked what I do, I wanted to share that with you here.

As always, let me know what you think. I'd love to hear from you and what this "alone time" looks like on your end. I love trying new things and finding inspiration from my wonderful listeners.

  • Thoughts On Your Future

When was the last time you sat down and thought about what your life will look like after the kids are grown? Have you taken any steps in working towards those goals? You're probably thinking, "why would I?" "I can barely focus my thoughts on the present moment, let alone my life post-kids living at home." In this episode, I will tell you why I feel it is incredibly important to think about this topic, discuss it with your spouse, and take action steps sooner rather than later.

  • Q&A - How Do I Handle Low Energy/Low Motivation Days?

It's Q & A time which I LOVE! In this episode I tackle the how, what, when, and why's of low energy days and what I do to work through them. Spoiler alert, it has nothing to do with consuming a bottle of wine, Oreos, or venting to your bff for hours. If you're looking for that validation of toxic behavior, this podcast isn't for you. I chat about doing the work, while also lowering your/my expectations for the day. We ALL have bad days. It's up to YOU to get through them. Here's what it looks like for me.

  • You're Telling Me I Can Do What?

It's time to embrace the nap mamas! But first, let's figure out the WHY behind your nap. What is the purpose? We'll chat about the 5 different types of naps, what their purpose is, and how you can use them at different seasons in your life to accomplish more productivity, peace, and joy in your days with your family. This episode is not meant to enable toxic (lazy) behavior, but to address the issue of our constant need to be productive which leads to puttering and ding, ding, ding......unproductive behavior.

  • Butterfly Transformation

What did your journey look like in embracing motherhood and your stay-at-home life? Did you have a journey, or are you still on one? In this episode I talk about what my journey to becoming a "Beautiful Butterfly" looked like, and trust me, it wasn't exactly beautiful. I talk about people's constant fear of others trying to change and how you not becoming your true self, is a complete disservice to all of us. Come, have a listen.

  • The Best and Worst Year of Our Lives

This is an emotional episode for me to share with my listeners. I share our very personal stories of trauma in 2020, and how through adversity and times of hardship we still found gratitude and used these moments to build mental toughness and strength. We came out stronger, more resilient, and prepared for inevitable future struggles.  This isn't another story about Covid. In fact, that was the least of our worries in some ways. This is a story of family and triumph and the ultimate pursuit of finding who we are and what family means to us. This is about creating a strong mama mindset to lead your families down a path of resilience.
