We're seeing a notable decline in casual sexual encounters, a phenomenon some are calling a "sex recession." Data from a 2022 survey showed that a striking one in four Gen Z adults aged 18 to 24 haven't had partnered sex, a figure that jumps to one in three for Gen Z men. Looking back, the proportion of young adults reporting two or more sexual partners has plummeted from 23% in 2011 to just 10% in 2021.
