Tess rejoins the podcast to discuss what she terms as "Empathic Escapism", where we use our empathy as a way to avoid our own experiences. As empathic beings, we can often fall into the trap of needlessly taking on the pain of other people or wallowing in the sorrows of humanity, instead of simply being present and holding space for them.
Along the way, we discuss:
As always, Tess is so wise, charming and eloquent. We had so much fun recording this one. Enjoy!

We are thrilled to be joined by Marian--medicine worker, sound healer and modern day witch!
We discuss so much in this episode! Everything from:
Marian is a delight and has such amazing energy! We hit the ground running and don't stop until the very end. Enjoy!
About Marian:
Marian is in service to illuminating a path to the Divine through the guidance, support and advocacy for Plant and Fungi Medicine’s. Her passion was sparked after having her first non-ceremonial experience using Psilocybin Mushroom medicine in 2014. In 2016 Marian was introduced to Shamanism through the Madré Ayahuasca. She channels the wisdom and song of Plant and Fungi Medicines and offers herself in service to those who are drawn to seeking greater heights of consciousness through sound and vibration using medicine wisdom.

We are so excited to be joined by our first guest couple...Julie and Dan Larson!
Apart from being an incredible human, Julie is a Kambo Practitioner, Licensed Massage Therapist, Intuitive Energy Worker, Medium, and Reiki Master practicing in Provo, Utah. Julie and Dan share their journey of healing from ailments such as migraines, chronic fatigue, Epstein-Barr, depresion and more, through the use of plant medicine and alternative practices. They also share about Julie's work and we go into detail on what to expect from the frog medicine. We hit on topics such as:
You guys....such an amazing couple! You'll fall in love with them and their story. Enjoy!
More about Julie:
"I’ve spent most of my life not feeling all that great… Up until just a few years ago I had in my mind that this was just how my body worked. That part is true, my body is just more sensitive than most people’s, but as it turns out that’s not such a bad thing. My body gives me almost instant feedback to know what’s right or wrong for it. Because I’ve been able to experience many illnesses first hand (Migraines, Epstein-Barr, Hashimotos, mycoplasma pneumonia, Candida, Hormonal Imbalances, depression, anxiety, PCOS, and believe it or not there’s more…), I understand how it feels to not feel good and I’m passionate about the body’s ability to heal itself (sometimes with a bit of extra help 😉).
As a Kambo Practitioner, Licensed Massage Therapist, Intuitive Energy Worker, Medium, and Reiki Master I love to help people on their journey back to health. My journey to health and healing has been long and I continue to work on it everyday. I’m grateful that I have the opportunity to share what I’ve learned with my clients."

Such a fun topic! So much we can discuss and learn from each other. We’d love for you to join in the conversation and share your views on Instagram or in our Facebook support group!
