A rough transcript of a July phone call reveals US President, Donald Trump, repeatedly prodded Ukraine's new leader to work with Rudy Giuliani and the US attorney general to investigate Joe Biden.

In the call, Trump raised unsubstantiated allegations that the former vice president tried to interfere with a Ukrainian prosecutor's investigation of his son, Hunter.

The conversation is part of a whistleblower's complaint, which is central to the formal impeachment inquiry House Speaker Nancy Pelosi launched yesterday.

The connection to Attorney General William Barr marks a new and potentially more serious issue for Trump because it shows he took steps to involve the government with a foreign country to investigate a political rival.

But at the meeting of the Union of BC Municipalities, Eby has been hearing that municipalities would like more help when it comes to dealing with the problem of money laundering.

One of those who spoke to the Attorney General yesterday was Richmond Councillor, Kelly Greene. She joins me in studio now.
