In an Ipsos poll done exclusively for Global News ahead of the upcoming federal budget, a majority of Canadians, or 82 per cent, said they want to see a reasonable plan for a timely return to balanced budgets. Sixty-six per cent said they’re “ok” with the government running whatever size of deficit is necessary to get through the pandemic.

Chapter 3: Mass vaccination plan in Whistler kicks off today
A mass COVID-19 vaccination campaign is kicking off in Whistler Monday for adults who live and work there. Vancouver Coastal Health's Dr. Penny Ballem calls it a major hot spot - - where priority needs to be given. Vaccine will also be available to people coming from Pemberton and Squamish who work in Whistler. There have been 1,505 cases in the community from the start of the new year until April 5 -- with the majority occurring in people aged 20 to 39.
