Chapter 5: While you can purchase live spot prawns by the pound from local fishmongers, direct from the boats at docks in Vancouver at Granville Island, Richmond in Steveston, and Delta in Ladner, or at grocery stores, one key part of the business is the frozen-at-sea spot prawns. An interpretation of a new ruling by the DFO, however, would find the sale of any spot prawns frozen-at-sea illegal.
