BC Government announces $5 Billion action plan

The Premier and Finance Minister announcing a five-billion-dollar 'action plan' to help people and businesses because of COVID-19.

It includes 2.8 billion to be spent on helping people and services and 2.2 billion for businesses.

The package includes a one-thousand dollar tax free payment to people unable to work right now.

Student loan payments will be 'paused.'

BC Hydro and ICBC will be working with customers to provide support deferring payments with no penalties. Premier John Horgan says "if we are to get through this, we have to focus on making sure the most vulnerable are protected."
