0:00 - Well that was no fun! The Avalanche got absolutely SHELLED by the Penguins last night at Ball Arena. Wedgewood got pulled 13 min into the 1st period. Then Blackwood immediately gave up another goal. One of those nights. Postgame, Coach Bednar said the slow start wasn't Wedgie's fault. The team around him was awful.
Also, our annual DROP TOURNAMENT IS BACK BABY! Today, let's kick things off with the Vic Region of the bracket.

14:48 - This Nuggets season has felt like a SLOG. "Laborious" is the word Vic used. Sometimes, it's been hard to enjoy. Just get us to the playoffs already. Last night's Avs game felt the same way.
Also, Aqib Talib went on his podcast and said the Broncos will add a high profile weapon on offense. Book it! That's all he said. Does he actually know something? Who's he hinting at?

32:55 - The Embiid-less 76ers are in town tonight. No Embiid? In Denver? Really? I'm shocked! This is a must-win game for the Nuggets. No question.

0:00 - The Broncos did literally nothing in Free Agency. Nothing. That's it. They're bringing back almost the exact same roster as last year. Look...we understand that they made the AFC Championship game last year and they were 1 Bo Nix ankle away from making the Super Bowl. But do they REALLY believe that this identical roster can do the same thing next season? They don't need ANY OTHER PIECES on offense?

Also, the NCAA Men's Tournament is officially set and it actually feels like the selection committee got everything right. This tournament has been devoid of controversy so far.

15:45 - Connor Hellebuyck did his best impression of a brick wall on Saturday against the Avs. It's almost like that's the same goalie who won Team USA an Olympic gold medal. Normally, you'd live with a loss like that. Whatever. It's a long season and stuff like that happens. But as long as Dallas keeps winning, the Avs need to keep winning as well.

31:53 - OH, by the way...the NBA is gaining more momentum towards adding teams in Las Vegas and Seattle. Oh, by the way...what's the world cup of hockey? How's that different from the Four Nations? Oh, by the way...an Argentinian soccer commentator did a full broadcast with T-Pain levels of autotune on his mic.

0:00 - The Nuggets lost to the Lakers in LA, and normally we'd say "whatever, that happens." But that loss was INFURIATING. Consistently, the Nuggets struggle to close out winnable games down the stretch. It's a problem we've seen time and time again. It also hurts even more when you lose to the friggin Lakers and friggin LeBron James. It was such a tough loss that Vic couldn't sleep after. Why do we do this to ourselves?

17:13 - The Avalanche lost in Winnipeg, which tends to happen EVERY TIME the Avalanche play in Winnipeg. And what happened to them this time? They got...sigh...they got Goalied. There's a reason Connor Connor Hellebuyck willed Team USA to a Gold Medal. Same guy. It's a frustrating loss, but it hurts even more because DALLAS WON'T STOP WINNING.

35:51 - USA beat DR in the WBC...so many acronyms...and they're moving onto the Championship game! This tournament has been electric. In the Final, USA will face either Italy or Venezuela. Who do you wanna see? Brett says if USA plays Italy, then we win either way. Because all the players on Team Italy are from America.

0:00 - The Vikings signed Kyler Murray? Okay? What's their plan here? That sent us down a rabbit hole of former Broncos QB who are still active elsewhere in the NFL.
