Back in October, I got the chance to spend two weeks on Super 73's R-Brooklyn electric bicycle. For motorcycle folks, an e-bike may not sound like your cup of tea, but I promise, it will sneak up on you. I go through the R-Brooklyns specs, my riding experience with it, who I think the target audience is, and how these bikes are breaking ground for future opportunities.

From December 31st until January 15th, competitors on motorcycles, quads, side-by-sides, cars, and trucks will be racing in what is said to be the most difficult off-road event in the world, the Dakar Rally.
In today's show, I explain what the Dakar Rally is, a brief history of the rally, define rally racing, highlight some of the motorcycle competitors, along with other commentary about the race.
Winter here in the midwest is a miserable time as a motorcyclists, so the Dakar Rally is a ray of light during the dark evening hours of winter.

NBC Sports is apparently covering the race 6:30PM during the rally, but it's on Peacock, which may require a $5 subsciption

-Adrien Van Beveren actually came from Yamaha, not Luciano Benavides (who raced for Husqvarna in 2022 and again this year).
-Laia Sanz will be driving a car for Team Astra

Per my comments on previous shows, it's been difficult to keep up with the podcast during the racing season. I want to apologize for the gap in the shows, but there's some new stuff on the horizon.

Let me know how the new audio sounds. Looking forward to an exciting new "season" of shows.

Show corrections: While I obviously don't recall, it is very possible Conrad Stodgell is more responsible for the mini-bike racing idea then I thought.

After a long summer of no podcasts, we're back behind the microphone. Mark Scherrens and I sit down to talk about all kinds of motorcycle potpourri. We chat about the new Transalp news, racing the Triumph Scrambler in KXCR over the summer.
We recap a little about Red River Scrambler; have some debate about how the latest economic news may impact the ADV segment. There's some talk about riding with family, the usual suspension nonsense, the KTM 950 vs 990 and who knows what else.
