Mount Allison University is hosting its first powwow on March 22, following the permanent installation of the Mi'kmaq flag on the grounds. Event organizer Talon Simon said the day honours the Mi'kmaq people and culture with a day of activities, including drumming and a traditional 'potato dance'.
