LANGUAGE WARNING: Episode 002 of the Move. Breathe. Live. podcast features Alex Williams. Alex is an authenticity coach, inspirational speaker and mental health nurse.
This episode was super fun. I have known Alex for nearly 20 years having grown up in the Ipswich music scene together and then happening to both do our nursing training at the same time. We have both travelled very similar paths leaving the NHS to pursue a career outside of it to try and help people before they get to the stage in which they find them selves at their worst state, either mentally or physically.
We discuss a whole bunch of subjects in and around mental health including the faults with the current health service model along with personal growth and development.
We also dive into our mutual love of punk and hardcore and how this seemingly noisy shouty genre of music actually helped up as youngsters and adults feel a sense of community and togetherness that we were otherwise missing
