Movie Night Crew

The last film in our T.Hanksgiving November celebration, and it was probably the best of the bunch! This week, the crew watch and discuss the Spielberg gem, Catch Me If You Can. Turned out this movie was just what we needed to transition from Thanksgiving to Christmas mode, what with the twinkle lights n such. Join us for a discussion that honestly...is more about Leo D than T.Hanks...we apologize.

It‘s our second T.Hanksgiving discussion, and this one is about Tom Hanks doing nothing for three hours. It‘s Castaway! The movie that almost makes the Boy Scouts of America seem useful. Join us as we discuss this film‘s relevance and staying power, along with whether or not we would immediately die under these particular circumstances.

Happy T.Hanksgiving!! As the Dad-joke implies, we're watching Tom Hanks movies all throughout the month of November. Mostly because the pun was too good to resist. But regardless, we're starting off with an early movie in Tommy's filmography,  the 1984 fish-filled flick Splash. How does the movie hold up after three decades? Welllllllll, you might have to listen for that chestnut of a topic

It‘s Haley‘s birthday episode this week!! She slinked out of her bog witch hut and had us watch one of her favorite movies, Stranger Than Fiction. A movie that has Will Ferrell, but is not a ”Will Ferrell Movie.” Join us with our buds from My Cabbages! Zach and Alex, as we venture into the world of writing fiction. Is this episode a comedy or a tragedy? You decide

HAPPIEST OF HALLOWEENS TO YOU! We were so excited that Halloween was on a Sunday this year that we watched one of the group‘s favorites, the 2014 vampire mockumentary What We Do In The Shadows. Mikey tells us stories of his time in Middle Earth, along with Grace who experienced this film for the first time with us. Grab a blood soaked couch pillow, get a plate of PAHsghetti, and join us for our discussion of everything vampire and New Zealand!

Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the Movie Night Crew went to the theater to experience the disturbingly delightful Silence of the Lambs. Does Hannibal Lecter look even more terrifying on a 30ft screen? Yes, and we were very brave...the entire time...Join us for this week‘s episode of the Movie Night Crew!!

This week on the Movie Night Crew, we visit a most mysterious castle in the middle of the woods. It‘s the Rocky Horror Picture Show! Cult classic, part horror, part musical, part comedy, this absolute gem is ahead of its time and truly legendary.

This week on the Movie Night Crew, Jason puts on one of his favorite films and has his friends surrender to the madness! Of course, we are talking about one of the goriest comedies of all time, Evil Dead II. This esteemed cult classic threw a few of our members into the pits of insanity, while the seasoned veterans watched and cackled right along side them. A film that is truly difficult to comprehend or summarize; but dammit we're gonna give it a shot! Grab your best ugly jewelry, a cup of Kool-Aid, and tune in

Welcome back to the Movie Night Crew, where this week we continue our spooky selections! The crew got together to watch the classic film adaptation of Misery, the novel by Stephen King. We clutched our ankles and ate our words in this review of this possibly sadomasochistic thriller. Let‘s dive into what makes being a famous author so utterly horrifying!
