Have you ever been sitting in a well-lit room and all of a sudden the lights went out. I'm sure it was an uneasy feeling. Maybe you were even a bit confused. You were probably trying to figure out why the lights went out. In the darkness, our eyes have to work harder to adjust in order to see. In this episode, we discuss the darkness and how to continue to grow through our dark times.

How many minutes do we spend worrying about the challenges in our lives? For some of us, there are a lot of minutes in the day that we spend worrying. What does worrying change? I know it doesn't change a thing for me, aside from creating stress and so many other emotions that aren't helpful. In this episode, we discuss how to change our worry through our worship. What are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments, as we grow through and go from worry to worship.

Well, well, well!!!! It's my birthday tomorrow!!! Every day above ground is a great day. Who remembers the movie, "The Lion King"? Do you remember Simba, the heir to the thrown who was tricked out of his birthright because he forgot who he was? He went from "I can't wait to be king", to "I've got to get away from here because they will be mad at me for what I've done". His guilt and shame diminished his self worth and his value. In this episode we discuss the Scars in life, both literal and figurative. We discuss what we need to be reminded of as we experience self-doubt.

Have you ever experienced holding on to a rope so tightly that it scraped your hand? I have! That burning feeling doesn't feel good. It is painful. Letting go of the rope would seem easy to do, for the sake of your hand, but it can still feel difficult to stop holding on when it is what is familiar and comfortable to you. In this episode, we discuss the consequences of holding on and the necessity of being able to do well even when taking two steps forward and ten steps backwards.

Just like Calvin Cordozar Broadus, Jr. aka Snoop Dogg stopped to thank himself while giving a speech as his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was being unveiled. Many people have argued that this speech was somewhat comical, yet somewhat arrogant. I would say, this isn't an arrogant speech. If you're like me, you know it takes a lot to get up out of the bed and be you. It takes us sometimes pulling ourselves out of bed to get the day started, when things get rough. In this episode, we are reminded not to forget to thank yourself.
