In today’s episode of the Moyo Wellness Therapy Podcast, I continue the Finding Yourself Again:
Healing, Growth & Emotional Resilience Series, where we have already explored topics such as outgrowing old versions of yourself, starting over in your healing journey, trusting yourself and standing firm in your decisions, consistency and healing, and identity rebuilding and finding yourself again.
As we continue this healing journey, the next important step is learning how to build emotional resilience because healing is not only about rebuilding yourself, it is also about learning how to keep going during difficult seasons without giving up on yourself.
In this episode, I talk about what emotional resilience really means, how healing requires resilience, and how to continue supporting yourself during stressful, overwhelming, or emotionally difficult moments.
I also share practical tips on how to build emotional resilience, including:
- Learning how to regulate your emotions instead of reacting impulsively when life feels overwhelming.
- Allowing yourself to rest without guilt instead of constantly pushing yourself into burnout and survival mode.
- Protecting your peace by setting boundaries with people, environments, or situations that negatively affect your emotional wellbeing.
- Building healthy coping mechanisms such as journaling, breathwork, exercise, meditation, prayer, or mindful walks.
- Focusing on progress instead of perfection and reminding yourself that healing is not linear
This episode is a reminder that resilience is not about pretending to be okay or never struggling it is about learning how to support yourself, adapt during difficult seasons, and continue moving forward with patience, self-awareness, compassion, and strength.
