In today’s topic, we share the incredible story of Lesa a woman who faced a stage one breast cancer scare and chose healing over fear.
After walking through that season, she entered a deep journey of self-love, reflection, and transformation. What she realised changed everything just because something is painful doesn’t mean you have to walk through it alone.
In this conversation, she opens up about what loving herself really looked like behind the scenes the mindset shifts, the boundaries, the courage and how that healing reshaped the way she now supports women over 40 navigating divorce and midlife transitions with clarity, compassion, and confidence.
Because midlife is not a crisis. It’s a comeback.
So grab your tea, get comfortable, and let’s get into it.
In today’s episode, I talk about resetting our emotions and finding our way back to ourselves.
Sometimes life can feel overwhelming. Stress, responsibilities, emotional triggers, or even past experiences can leave us feeling drained, disconnected, or out of balance. When that happens, it’s easy to lose touch with ourselves and our inner calm.
In this episode, I share some of my own experiences and my personal journey of how I reset myself when I start to feel stressed, overwhelmed, or emotionally out of balance. I talk about some of the tools that help me regulate my emotions and calm my nervous system, such as taking time out, switching off my phone, exercising, going for a walk, practicing breathwork and meditation, and doing creative activities like baking, cooking, colouring, or even just listening to music.
These small but powerful practices can help us slow down, reconnect with ourselves, and bring our emotions back into balance.
So today’s conversation is really about learning how to recognise when we need to pause, reset our emotions, and gently find our way back to ourselves.
"In this episode, we delve into how to break free from being defined by others' views and our own past experiences. We explore the journey of navigating trauma, emphasizing that we hold the power to choose whether hardship shapes us, and discuss the transformative shift from seeing ourselves as victims to embracing our identity as survivors."
Welcome back to the podcast. Today, we’re diving into a deep and sensitive topic — family secrets and how they affect us as children, shape our emotional world, and impact who we become as adults.
Many of us grew up in families where certain things were never talked about. Things that were hidden, avoided, or silenced. Yet, even as children, we could feel that something wasn’t right. That silence, confusion, and emotional tension often became part of our everyday life.
In this episode, we’re going to explore how family secrets create trauma, how they influence our relationships, self-worth, emotional safety, and identity, and most importantly — how we can begin to heal, release shame, and break generational cycles. This conversation is for anyone who has ever felt unseen, unheard, or confused about their family story. You are not alone, and healing is possible.
In this episode, we explore wellness, learning to listen to your body, managing stress, and how our DNA can support long-term health and prevention. We talk about nervous system regulation, daily practices for balance, and how small lifestyle changes can create lasting wellbeing. This episode is a gentle reminder that healing doesn’t require perfection or pressure — it begins with awareness, safety, and small intentional steps.
In this episode, we explore PTSD — what it is, how it’s connected to trauma, and why it affects the mind and body long after the experience has passed. We talk about how trauma lives in the nervous system, how triggers form, and why PTSD is a natural response to overwhelming events, not a personal failure.
We also focus on healing: what recovery can look like, how to gently support the nervous system, and practical tools that help create safety, calm, and awareness. Healing doesn’t mean erasing the past — it means learning how to live without the past controlling the present.
This episode is for anyone navigating trauma, supporting someone with PTSD, or starting their healing journey.
In this episode, we explore what alignment in healing really means. Not following society’s rules, rigid routines, or timelines — but learning to listen to your body and honour what it needs. Healing isn’t about forcing productivity, eating on a clock, or pushing through exhaustion. It’s about reconnecting with yourself, regulating your nervous system, and allowing your healing to be authentic, gentle, and personal. If you’ve been trying to “heal the right way” but feel disconnected or burnt out, this conversation is for you.
In this episode, we talk about attachment and trauma — why so many of us hold on to people, habits, and situations that no longer serve us. Attachment isn’t weakness; it’s survival. When you’ve experienced abandonment, rejection, or emotional neglect, your nervous system learns to cling because letting go feels unsafe.
I share my personal journey of growing up without emotional security and how that led to people-pleasing, fear of abandonment, toxic relationships, and losing myself trying to be chosen. We explore how attachment can turn into addiction, over-giving, and staying in unhealthy situations — and how healing begins by reconnecting with yourself.
Healing attachment means learning to feel safe within yourself, setting boundaries, trusting your body, and choosing aligned, emotionally available connections — without losing who you are.
In this final episode of 2025, I reflect on the lessons this year taught me about healing. Healing is not about erasing the past, forgetting what happened, or becoming perfect or pain-free. It’s about making peace with your experiences so they no longer control your reactions, relationships, or sense of self.
This episode explores what healing really looks like — learning to regulate your nervous system, responding instead of reacting, living from awareness rather than survival, and feeling safe in your body again. Healing doesn’t mean the memories disappear; it means they lose their emotional charge, allowing you to move forward with self-trust, compassion, and clarity as we step into a new year.
This week’s topic is setting healthy boundaries on your healing journey.
In this episode, we explore what boundaries really mean, why they’re essential for healing, and how to start setting them in your own life.
We share practical tips such as knowing your limits, listening to your body and emotions, being clear and direct without over-explaining, starting small before tackling bigger challenges, staying consistent even when there’s pushback, and remembering that self-care is non-negotiable.
