MP on the Mic

MP is still hot at the collar about the results of yesterday’s game - it’s gonna take a while to get the taste of this one out of our mouths. That being said, we can’t talk about Washington all day, so it’s time to launch into University Sports. Our favorite Hokie alumni, Frank from Mechanicsville, joins us and talks ball!

Today’s topic is, clearly and obviously the Commanders upset against the Bears. Michael Phillips discusses defensive strategy, pushing your players too hard, and benching.

Wrapping up hour 1 of our show, MP takes a walk around the NFL in its entirety so we can check in the rest of the contending clubs trying to do their thing this season. We hear from Najee Harris, Matt Canada, and others!

MP gets further into what really went wrong with the coaching and coordination in yesterday’s game between Washington and Chicago. We hear from Head Coach Ron Rivera as well as QB Sam Howell on that poor display.

Michael is joined in the studio by “The Czar” Gary Hess to briefly touch on the loss against the Bears, last night. The real reason Gary came to see us in the studio is, as always, to go around the world of College Ball! We talk Hokies, Cavs, and more!

It is a somber, sour Friday morning for Commanders fans. MP is displeased and he is not mincing words on this. Jack Del Rio is not safe after last night’s upset and, frankly, neither is Rivera. Hear more, here, folks.

Intro - Commanders-Bears preview

14:20 - NASCAR comes back under the lights

24:36 - Lane Casadonte, CBS 6

35:12 - Crosstalk with AWadd

The show may be coming to a close, but it’s still a good time in the studio with Adam Epstein! You know him as AWadd and he’s coming up next! He’s also got an embarrassing confession to make - not to worry, MP admits something, too!

The show gets cookin’ with the inaugural appearance of Chris “the Rooster” Russell on “MP on the Mic”! He calls in from our sister station in DC to go fully into the situation that our Commanders currently find themselves in.

We launch into some more Football Talk - it is Fall, after all! We hear from Joe Burrow regarding the Bengals and really needing a win. We also hear from the main man, Marshawn Lynch!
