In today's episode, I have the privilege of introducing to you Kevin Evans, President of WEB Media Group and Napa Valley Life Magazine.
Kevin talks about his youth in this episode, growing up on the streets of Detroit and eventually graduating from the University of Michigan Dearborn.
From being a staff writer in the early 80's as an editor with the local paper, writing in big cities like Raleigh NC, Houston TX, Loa Angeles CA, and Austin TX where he resides today, Kevin eventually found himself as the President of WEB Media Group and Napa Valley Life Magazine.
Kevin discusses how Napa Valley Life Magazine came about in 2016 as more of a revamp rom a local magazine to a national magazine influencing people all across the country.
Kevin said his vision was to bring information to people all across the US who are active in the wine buying community that only visit Napa once or twice a year. This would create more of an awareness for the boutique wineries or the bed and breakfast's in Napa which in turn would increase revenue and knowledge of them throughout the process.
Kevin talks about his biggest strength in his ability to listen to the problems people have and in turn his ability to come up with creative solutions for their problems.
Kevin talks about how he really loves focusing in on what people are looking for in Napa, the ability for him and his team to create amazing stories, and his love for partnering with a variety of different organizations in Napa Valley.
Kevin talks about receiving the award for Best Magazine in the Best City and Regional Category at the 2018 Nichee Awards and the privilege it was to receive this incredible honor.
Kevin also emphasizes his team, the people who go to bat with him each and every day, and how if it wasn't for these individuals it wouldn't be possible for his to acknowledge the kind of success he's fortunate enough to achieve every day.
This episode is going to inspire you in so many ways! Kevin absolutely loves what he does and it shows every time he reflects on the lives that he's touching, and the variety of different ways he's making an impact on the community.
Kevin is without a doubt a man who is on a mission to tell every story in Napa Valley and someone who will never stay satisfied when looking for more content to create.

In today's episode, I sit down with my wife Jennifer as we reflect on the fires in Napa Valley, 2017. This coincidentally was the same time Jennifer came to visit me while I was working Harvest as an Intern for Staglin Family Vineyard.
Of course we talk about what we experienced as a couple during this time, but we also talk about the community of Napa Valley and how each and every person came together to work as one big family and overcome such a tragic state of events.
I also talked about the importance of supporting Napa Valley by not only purchasing wine, but also paying Napa Valley a visit and touring the various wineries as much as possible.
Napa Valley and the surrounding communities showed so much character and so much strength through this difficult time so I hope that through my interpretation you can get a glimpse of just how amazing this community truly is!

Today I had the privilege of sitting down with Jason Moore, Owner, Proprietor, and Winemaker for Modus Operandi Cellars.
In this episode, Jason talks about his journey from working in high-end, fine dining restaurants and selling some of the most amazing and influential wines in the world, to traveling across country and starting his own brand in Napa Valley where he now produces those same influential wines himself.
Jason talks about his biggest strength in the wine industry and knowing when to do nothing, letting the fruit do what it needs to do and not over-thinking the process.
Jason goes in-depth with Modus Operandi, the meaning behind the name, and what it means to be doing what he loves each and every day.
Jason talks about mentors in the wine industry, gentlemen like Kirk Venge, Bob Foley, Phillipe Melka, and Maayan Koschitzky, and Thomas Brown and how these men have influenced his winemaking career over the years.
Jason also talks about the ultimate goal he wants to accomplish as a winemaker and how he'll respond when he reaches that accomplishment, opening up a bottle of Tusk Estate or Realm Cellars in Celebration.

In today's episode, I had the opportunity to sit down and interview John and Stacy Reinert, Owners and Proprietors of Brilliant Mistake Wines.
John and Stacy talk about their love and passion for wine and how they stepped into the wine industry with no idea how to start, yet the one thing they did know is how strong they are with one other.
With that being said, John and Stacy talk about their mentors in the wine industry; people they look up to such as Russell Bevin, Kerrin Laz, Juan Mercado, Celia Welch and Sean Larkin just to name a handful. They stress the importance of these people and credit them as the reason they've found so much success in the wine industry.
John and Stacy talk about Maayan Koschitzky and the privilege it is to have Maayan onboard as Winemaker, as well as the impact Maayan is making on Brilliant Mistake Wines.
John and Stacy also talk about their joy and willingness to go out of the way for their customers, and how they'll do whatever it takes to show just how much they value them, and their appreciation for their wines.
John and Stacy are quite possibly some of the nicest, most genuine people you could ever have the privilege of knowing. This is just one of the reasons I'm super excited about this episode as I'm confident you will love as well.
This episode will inspire you, not only from a business standpoint but also from a personal standpoint just hearing from them and everything they've done to get to where they are today. So sit back, relax, and get ready because you are going to love this episode.

In today's episode I have the pleasure of sitting down and talking with winemaker Jason Earnest. Jason is one of the winemaker's for Vineyard 36, but winemaking wasn't always in the forefront of Jason's thoughts growing up.
Jason talks about how he got hooked to wine on a 1978 Chateau Palmer and I have to be honest with you, if my first experience with wine was with a 1978 Chateau Palmer I think I'd be hooked too!
You see, one of the things that Jason is known for is making big, California Cabernet's and in particular his appreciation for balance in wine when you consider things such as acidity, flavor profile, and what you get on the nose.
Jason talks about the inception of his first brand Tobacco Road Cellars and the relationship that brought about with Tim Gleason and Cam Ward, and their current partnership with V36.
Jason talks about winemaker Keith Emerson and the privilege it is to have Keith on board as Director of Winemaking for V36.
Jason also talks about an endorsement he received from social media icon Gary Vaynerchuk of Wine Library for his To Kalon Cabernet, and how that endorsement was a game changer for him in the wine industry.
Jason delivers on so many levels in this podcast that I know you are going to be blown away by all the info and all the knowledge you're about to receive from such a gracious and humble human being. So, sit back, relax and get ready because you are going to love this episode.

In today's episode, I talk about the Power of Intention and how the Power of Intention actually got me exactly what I wanted last year.
Last year after I went separate ways with the fire service, I took an internship with a local farmer in South FL who makes wine from Hibiscus Sabdariffa roselle's. My intention was to learn as much as I could about how he makes his wines, and the industry of winemaking if you will.
What I didn't realize at the time was I was actually going to learn a lot about the hard work, commitment, and of course, doing whatever it takes to be successful in the wine industry.
This farmer, hands-down, set me up for the ultimate success that I would later experience when I traveled to Napa Valley to work harvest, 2017. He showed me that making wine is so much more than a job, it's a way for people to come together and work towards a common goal while creating something extraordinary in the process.
I hope you enjoy this episode and it makes an impact on how you view whatever intentions you set in your life.
