We don't know what you want us to do with this show. We can't review it. A recap doesn't do it justice. The only thing we've settled on is a few minutes of appreciation for the humor and brilliance of the show. I mean come on. Mick brings his daughter to a time ship for some father-daughter time, Gary (goddamn it Gary) brings his emotional support dog that turns out to be a hell hound, Sara's blind but can also see the future kinda (and can still kick your ass), the ship is completely broken and more. What can we say. This show is so much fun. And we get episodes until June. Lucky us.

Well it looks like this is the penultimate episode of The Flash season 6. It's a shame too. Not because this season has been bad or this episode wasn't good but rather because this has been a great season that the pandemic has cut short. To be honest, it's a testament to how good this season has been that they've been able to work around the current crisis (no pun intended) and still hit the important pieces and tell a coherent story. This is not something that they could have done in previous seasons.

There are a couple things that are very clear to us:

* The writers of this season are clearly a fan of the current Flash comic run (which honestly has been some of the best writing for Barry Allen)

* Eva is gonna be a huge problem

* The end of this season isn't going to resolve all the plot points and issues and we're definitely okay with that. The show is already confirmed for season 7 so lets keep this train going

* Ralph is a great goddamn life coach. The Ralph Hive keeps going strong

Ro and Joi are back to further share their delight and investment in Little Fires Everywhere  with a special interview with writer Shannon M. Houston.

Shannon took lead on writing episode six, The Uncanny, my personal favorite. She agreed to sit down and talk all things LFE. If you don't know the name Shannon Houston, trust me, she's definitely one to watch. Listen in and see why we're officially declaring ourselves super fans.

Little Fires Everywhere is a dynamic and engaging adaptation. This is very much owing to it's talent packed writers' room lead by show runner Liz Tigelar.

It took a village to bring this family drama to such dynamic life. Especially since this is one series that holds together of it's entire story arc. This behind-the-scene clip of bringing this book to audiences gives a taste of what it took:

Corona might have shut down the theaters but that doesn't mean we don't have new movies to review. We got a screener for the IFC Horror film, The Wretched and recorded a review of our thoughts. When we saw the trailer for this film, we thought it had a lot of potential. Unfortunately, the film never lives up to that.

The Good

Directors Brett and Drew Pierce put together a horror film that looks pretty good. There are some really creepy moments with the witch and there are no shortages of graphic moments either. Chris Evans might talk about eating a baby in Snowpiercer but The Wretched actually shows it. If the rest of The Wretched lived up to the aesthetics then this film would be an amazing horror film. Sadly the rest is lackluster. .

The Bad

The problem with the acting in The Wretched isn't that it's all bad but rather who is given the focus. John-Paul Howard plays Ben and is the lead but is also the weakest of the actors. Everyone else seems to handle their roles better. Even the kids. Zarah Mahler does a great job as the possessed Abbie and we wish they had leaned on her a bit more

The Ugly

What really hurts The Wretched is that it's telling a story that's heavily dependent on lore but doesn't explain or lean into any of that lore. In the end, the story becomes hollow because of it. The motivations and rules surrounding the witch in this film aren't every really clear. What's most frustrating is that there clearly is a lot of lore to lean on and this film could have been so much more. Instead it's just a pretty to look at empty shell of a horror film.

Listen as Ro, Kriss and Brandon break down their thoughts on The Wretched for a full review.

As we celebrate The Last Dance weekly, UDPod will be sitting with Jordan aficionados to talk about the Sunday drop of the latest two episodes. This week, we're tackling episodes 4 and 5 of the series, and make a few bets on how this all ends...

Coming in hot to kick off the month of May, we've got long time friend of the show Michael Felder on to talk about...well everything. If he hasn't got his hand in the dirt, he's swearing on the radio or he's dunking on my Bulldogs. Hang out, and listen to two grown men share a depth of knowledge regarding The Challenge that would embarrass lesser folk.

Poor Nate. He's assumed the Ray role of always falling in love with the woman that soon becomes unavailable or falls for someone else. We pointed out the chemistry between Constantine and "New" Zari and this episode makes it even more clear. Nate always loses his girl. We really love how this show takes the small things that don't seem to be important and turns them into major plot points. Earlier this season Ava was trying to figure out how to fit into the team and get them to listen to her and this episode she takes charge as captain with Sara down. Not only that but then using her own experiences being lied to and used to convince Astrid to come back from hell with her, you really gotta love how this show does character development.

Bloodwork is back (kinda) this episode and that wasn't even the biggest thing to happen this episode. Barry has figured out that Iris isn't really Iris, the problem he sounds batshit insane trying to prove it. Also, he's no match for Eva. What really works this episode is the acting. With Barry's powers acting up, you'd think that the episodes would be a little slow with the show not leaning on that. But The Flash has such strong acting and Grant and Candice have such great chemistry its a joy just watching them act off each other.

We're back for part two of our Little Fires Everywhere chat. This time around, Shanna decided to jump in the mix. We're picking back up with the discussion expanding beyond dragging Pearl - although there's still a bit of that - and into the themes and moments that kept us engaged, made us pause so to think, and the mess that still has us puzzled.

We give reasons to add Hulu's Little Fires Everywhere to your watch-list

Little Fires Everywhere turned out to be the perfect balance of mess, emotional turmoil, and family drama. In a time when television adaptations seem to leave out the core elements that made the book work, showrunner Liz Tigelaar and the Little Fires writers' room not only preserved Celeste Ng's narrative, it cut to the heart and soul expanding on its themes and making great television.

So tune in while we chop it up and remember at the end of the day. minding your business is always free. If you haven't added

The NFL Draft is finally behind us, and we wanted to bring some of the top minds in college football in to break down every round. Unfortunately, you're stuck with me and Chad. Dude You Podcast is back again, and we're talking the bleak look ahead at the sports calendar, Oliver Luck versus Vinny Mac and the lies NFL uniforms tell us.
