Borachio and Don John conspire to trick Claudio into thinking that Hero is unfaithful, while Don Pedro, Leonato and Claudio trick Benedick into thinking that Beatrice is in love with him and Margaret and Hero trick Beatrice into thinking that Benedick is in love with her.
