Everyday we see social media posts telling us where to find the best places to eat, the biggest deals in the marketplace, and what new great movie we should watch. When people know of a good thing they naturally want to share it! Why, then, do so many disciples not feel just as compelled to share the best deal ever–life with Jesus?! As Paul concludes his book he reveals his deep passion for sharing the Good News of Christ with all who have never heard nor understood. This is a convincing example and a powerful call to share what we have received.

Life is hectic. Our work, family, and social commitments create enough chaos and feelings of unrest on their own. However, without Christ in our lives we experience an even deeper sense of inner turmoil, though we do not understand its source. We may not know it, but apart from Christ we are in conflict with God. This conflict is the true source of our feelings of fear, anxiety, worry, and, more deeply, that nagging sense that something in our lives is simply just not quite right. By faith, through grace, Jesus ends the conflict and disconnect between us and God and brings real peace into our lives. Grace moves us into that “life to the full” promised by Jesus in John 10:10.
