There are certain moments in our sports card-collecting careers we remember as pivotal to improving our collection. Maybe it was that great card trade you made, or a super prospect whose card you bought early for nothing is now on his way to his 8th MLB All-Star Game.
But quite often, we make those great decisions because we made bad moves earlier in our collecting career, and we learned from them.
I’ve been collecting cards since I was about four years old, and I share all the bad moves I made — from bad trades, to not buying a card when I should have, to not selling a card when I should have. These are my biggest bone-head card-collecting moves!
