Our Beautiful Guest today, Roberta Axson is Owner and Fonder of Teen Moms 2 Beyond, which is an organization to help young mother's with support, knowledge, and direction. Roberta newly released the "Teen Mom 2 Beyond Journal," found on Amazon! This movement was birth from Roberta's own story with teen pregnancy, starting at 14 she found herself walking in the footsteps of her mother, who had her at 15. Roberta was determined not to become another statistic and she graduated highshool, pursued a degree in college, which eventually led to her 25 year career as a Teacher!

* "My first son is my heart beat. He keeps the rhythm in step. My youngest is my heart."

* Didn't know what motherhood was about at 15 years old

* Refused to be labeled with in the typical statistics category

* a great desire to give to her son more than she saw or had 

* The way she gives is because that's what she wants for her own self. Love, Support, Encouragement, Cheerfulness, etc.

* Mom hood is not just a job but a career

* This is generational- making a choice to something different

* Career- professional, what you do to always continue to be better, ministry, gift, assignment, busines, etc.

* Job- something you do in the meantime

* where you are now isn't where you have to stay

* didn't understand the rejection, abandonment, self-hatred, not belonging, don't fit in

*it's not me to not be able to give something you've never had, it's a desire to give what you haven't experienced

* God gives us love to be able to give

* optimism equals opportunity

* being broken will cause dysfunction

* be brave enough to accept help

* defending soul wounds and trauma with success and arrogance

* living in surrender for His Glory and Purpose

* it's already in the spirit, it has to manifest in the natural

* abundant life more than material things, breathing in your life.

*I believed I could 

* Break the bonds  when I broke down

* If we don't teach our children then who will??

* we are all flowers with different characteristics, fragrances, and aroma that goes up in the nostrils of Almighty God.

* sunflowers move toward the direction of the sunlight.

* Tulips reposition themselves to survive.

* God said, " I am not in your past. I'm ahead, meet me there."

         * To have a better life for her and her children to be seen as an overcomer

* needed to help first before running a business and living the life God gave

Today's Beautiful Guest Candace Byrd has a professional background in Clinical Mental Health along with life experience. She is the Owner of the movement, Crack your Mask, helping women to show up authentically. Her message is deeply rooted in "Show up as your true self!"

* having a mask is exhausting and you don't have what you need

* go to college to get a good degree and make good money, for her it was Accountant

* accountant wasn't who she was or what she wanted to do

* wrote down what made her happy and took time to notice the patterns, then figured out a new direction

* learned how to get the mind right through "cognitive behavior" techniques

* the mind is very strong, when you can control that, you can pretty much get what you want

* however if the mind is weak you can be easily swayed

* Kids need to know who they are

* we need to involve children in the process of their own development so they can have the tools to figure out different circumstances and decisions on their own

* be intentional about who you honestly are

* being intentional about who you are, is a continuous process because we are always growing, shedding, and becoming new!

* The key is feeling peace within yourself

* God, show me Who I am and and how you designed me to be

* its alot of things to work on good and bad 

* If you are going out into the world and you feel one way, but come back home and feel another way, then you are not aligned

* don't feel guilty and don't put it off 

* don't allow yourself to be easily offended, take critique and work on yourself

* don't fight the change allow God all the way in

* give yourself grace

* sometimes people can help you on the surface but you may need to go deeper

* not a sprint, a marathon, take your time

* we can manage the pain and be comfortable in the chaos

* your not weak or less than just because we want to work on becoming our better selves

* be ok with not being ok and seek help like therapy

* insight, nurtures, creators of life, great responsibility soft touch but powerful strong, meek , gentle, quiet spirit

* men are visionaries- they see the whole plan

* women are executers- they help bring it to pass and manifest the vision

* food is God's gift to us

*we should have energy, concentration, feel good throughout the day and about ourselves

*food is not just for taste but for a deeper purpose then for pleasure

* "I didn't always start off right"

* age 16/17 went through an experience that made her feel unworthy, not perfect, dieted to be skinny, etc.

* in college, went from a cycle of eating, studying, stressing, and was over 200 pounds

* get healthy, by committing to a lifestyle

* sustainable health

* don't expect to get healthy overnight because you didn't gain all the weight in one day

* the viscous cycle, dieting, being underweight, overweight, feeling guilty, give up, start something new, and the cycle begins again because you didn't learn how to change the small steps

* be satisfied with what you eat

* change your habits

* we don't judge you but instead help you to reach your goals

* work on habits that have led to the weight gain results

* we focus on one behavior at a time and you will start to look different

* just because you temporarily see results doesn't mean " it worked"

* everyone has the right to eat a slice of cake 

* we judge people based on their size, if your skinny you can afford to eat whatever you want but if you're larger, you are judged if you eat a salad or whole pizza.

* Nutrients Dense is focusing on the nutrients in the foods we eat, like, protein, amino acids, vitamins, etc.

* ALL nutrients make you feel WHOLE
