My Dumb Friends

The podcast starts off with everybody giving Sean a hard time about various items in his house until our homecrew of Dan, Sean, and Tom, argue for a while. Then Brendan Eyre (Just For Laughs Festival) and Joe Schiappa (HBO Comedy Festival, MTV's "Truth or Dare") talk with Dan and Sean about writer's room concerns and conflicts; the horror of being an audience warm-up comic; "magic"; a debate about whether or not Dan has "game"; streetfighting.

Kevin Barnett ("Friends of the People," truTV) and Matteo Lane ("Girl Code," "Guy Code") join the podcast to talk about: encountering weird prejudices, various dead babies, bad eating habits (particularly Dan's), a rundown of gay hookup apps, streetside sex encounters, cab sex (and how great it is).

As Dan, Sean, and Tom prepare to do a live recording of episode #100 on June 2nd, 2015, at The Stand Comedy Club in NYC, here are a few excerpts from the first episodes of the podcast in this "Greatest Hits" compilation, featuring: Taylor Ketchum, Chris Gethard, Chris Distefano, Mike Lawrence, Kurt Metzger, and Nikki Glazer.

Andy "a man with needs" Sandford ("Conan," "Aqua Teen Hunger Force") joins the podcast to talk about an epic trip of debauchery that the now-sober Dan St Germain made to Atlanta several years ago - its amazing that they survived that lost weekend as well as this episode where Dan and Sean get on each other's case to the point where Dan defends himself as "an American," because "he has a beard, a balls, and a heart." Tom also took advantage of the situation to chastise Sean and much yelling ensued.

Marina Franklin ("The Late Late Show," "Chappelle's Show," "The Nightly Show") formally rejects Dan St. Germain on the podcast; everyone talks about bad audiences; there's a Michael McDonald impression; Dan is accused of thinking he is Paul Newman from various films; Marina and the guys figure out how young guys are dumb; Marina's journey from Chicago to NYC, and much more!

Nick Vatterott ("Conan," "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon," Comedy Central half-hour) joins the team to hear a message from "Babala". Nick and our hosts then go on to describe their worst "day afters" of over-indulgent nights. Nick closes with an epic tale of his absolute worst gig ever!

Liz Miele (Comedy Central, "Conan," "Daily Show With Jon Stewart") and Eliot Glazer ("Broad City") join the show to talk about dealing with catcalling; if "crushing it" sex-wise is easier for straight guys or gay guys; the horror of Mickey Rooney in "Breakfast At Tiffany's"; and worst experiences with dates (hint: young guys are terrible).

Steve O'Brien and Nate Fernald who make up the comedy duo, Team Submarine, mistakenly stumble into the My Dumb Friends lair to observe a Dan & Sean blow-up and attempt to answer if Sean is a "saint"; Nate also describes how to build a "f--k pile"; Nate describes stumbling in on Steve experiencing a private moment (or was it??).

Bonnie McFarlane (Women Aren't Funny, "Last Comic Standing," "The Tonight Show," "Letterman") and David Feldman (The David Feldman Show, "Real Time With Bill Maher," "The Burn With Jeffrey Ross," Comedy Central) join the podcast to talk about terrible show experiences, porn, women in comedy, and exercise some judgment regarding Dan's recent experience with a stripper in Schenectady.

Author and performer Matthew Love (Selected Shorts, Uptown Showdown, Rolling Stone, Time Out NY) tells a great story about Jim Gaffigan ready to throw down at Gotham Comedy Club; another great story about being solicited for "clean pee" on the subway; trying to maintain enthusiasm while not being able to "close the deal"; a discussion of best and worst states with some slight Canada-bashing; the humor of jerking off; and an encounter with Jimmy Fallon.
