I sat down with DJ Javin from Arizona and we talked about DJ battles, producing and being a traveling DJ. I had to cut some pieces of the podcast out because we were in a hotel lobby and it was kind of loud. I apologize for the noise!

An all Instagram podcast! I take a lot of questions asked on my Instagram (see link below) and answer them here. I got so many questions that I will be making this a two part podcast. Loyalty. Controllers. DJ politics, what happens if people are trying to knock you down? Mobile DJs. SO MANY great questions sent in, THANK YOU!

I talk about the suggestion that the GoFundMe to #PayTheDJs was a PR stunt to get more attention for my brand. Also, a lot of great topics sent to me ranging from: DJing with IEMs (in ear monitors) vs headphones, the progression from being an opener into headliner, DJs who also wear the promoter hat, finding a good accountant and DJs selling merch.

I got a little fired up for pieces of this podcast because I am on #TeamDJ and you’ll see what I mean. The nightlife scene has been changing and we all are witnessing smaller clubs and lounges and bars take over the space. I talk about how this will impact DJs and how to set yourself up for the next market cycle. While playing a gig, my computer crashed, what I could have done better and how I could have avoided it. Finally, I discuss World DJ Finals and other battle stuff.

DJ Excel and DJ Impulse thankfully recorded this funky and very fun set that they played inside Commonwealth in Las Vegas. The party is curated by DJ Crykit and it is called “Crykit’s Playhouse” it happens the second Thursday of every month. Thank you guys for recording and letting me put it out there!

I made a 30 minute mix right after we recorded the MIA Radio podcast. From now on all mixes except the upcoming Club Killers mix which drops next Monday 1/21/19... all my mixes will be live. This mix was recorded live on DJ Zea's turntables and mixer. I hear one or two spots where the sound gets a little crunchy when scratching, it's a live mix, it happens. I had a little bit of an idea of what I wanted to play, maybe like 2 or 3 tracks... The rest I made up as I went along.

I went to CES and got a first hand look at the new Technics 1200MK7 turntable. I give my thoughts and assessments on it. I was not able to DJ with them or play with them for a long amount of time but I did go hands on and had a lot of opinions on what this means for the legendary 1200 line of turntables. An email comes in defending Serato DJ. How to deal with negativity from colleagues and should you just stop DJing because the game has changed? Finally I spend a good amount of time speaking on a situation a listener in Germany is having, he has a day job and is a DJ and is making the same amount of money at both. My answer on whether or not he should quit his day job....

On this episode I sit down inside MIA Radio studios, to record a new podcast started by my DJ colleagues. I speak with DJ Zea and DJ Ka5 (Kas) and we go back to how I got my start in the Miami nightlife scene and how I got some of my early opportunities. We also go over the experiences while working with some of the top nightlife groups in Miami and how it helped shape our craft and careers. Finally, we share our thoughts on where and how nightlife changed in Miami and the current state of the market.

On this episode I discuss my, “Momma I made it!” moments and why I think there will never be just ONE of these moments. A story about traveling in a snow storm and what I do when the room is half empty. I answer the question “When should a club book an out of town DJ?” and finally, I DISCUSS SERATO DJ AND SOME SERATO CONSPIRACY THEORIES.
