* While we were gone, during Disneyland’s 60th Anniversary Special, they finally released the teaser trailer for Pete’s Dragon trailer. I feel a little better about the Pete’s Dragon remake now that it’s clear that it’s set in a more modern setting. Tell us what you think in the comments.

* It seems like only yesterday that the first season of Daredevil premiered on Netflix and already here is the trailer for the second season featuring The Punisher that premieres in just a few weeks in mid March.

* Agent Carter has been great this season, and we’d be remiss if we didn’t highlight the great musical dance number they did. Agent Carter has gone Galavant and we love it!

* In a great surprise, it was announced in this great trailer that Dimension W was coming to Toonami to replace Akame ga Kill once it finished its run. We were really surprised since it was previously announced that Dimension W would be a Broadcast Dub. That’s still the case, but going straight to Toonami for its premiere.

* Next is a great video from Caltech that I’m surprised even got made. This is Anyone Can Quantum with a battle of quantum chess between Paul Rudd and Stephen Hawking, narrated by Keanu Reeves, who is a time traveler. Not only are the celebrities surprising but the short film also includes both music and footage directly from Ant-Man. Either way, it’s hilarious and already actual quantum chess is now being developed.

* LEGO dropped a trailer for the new LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens video game coming this summer that’s an excellent parody of the original Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

* First up is the new Suicide Squad Trailer. It definitely looks to be better than we thought after the first teaser but we’re worried the trailer is just fancy editing and trying very hard to be Guardians of the Galaxy. Tell us what you think in the comments below!

* Here are a couple of great Deadpool videos, first for Australia Day which is one of the most Deadpool messages ever and one for IMAX using a chimichanga. I will actually be sad when this movie is over because the marketing for it has been BRILLIANT.

* We messed it up last week, but here’s the great One Punch Man Deadpool parody trailer that we talked about last week that is WAY better than it should be.

* SNL has a great skit with Adam Driver as Kylo Ren in a parody of Undercover Boss Star Killer Base. It perfectly plays on his moody nature and the parody Emo version of Kylo Ren that’s taken over the internet.

Greg Ayres

Greg Ayres is a voice actor and DJ that has been working in anime for over 13 years. He shares with us a little about how he got his start and how he got his start in DJing and how the two worlds of voice acting and DJing have collided for him, including being able to perform at various cons that he’s attended during their dances. Greg Ayres has been very popular as of late, partly due the return of Toonami, where’s he has been featured in several series, and partly because of the return of dubbing from Sentai Filmworks and the Broadcast Dubs with Funimation. Most recently he’s played Nagisa Hazuki in Free! Iwatobi Swim Club, Clear in Dramatical Murder, and Monokuma in Danganronpa (the anime version) and then teases us that there is even more new things on the way! You can follow him on Facebook and Twitter and check out more of his credits on IMDB and Anime News Network.

Welcome to our episode for December 04, 2015!

This episode is a little outside the ordinary for us, but we had just enough new content that we wanted to put out an episode. Because of our time at Anime North Texas and the Thanksgiving holiday, we haven’t been able to put out more than our interviews from ANT. Thankfully, the news has been on our side and there has been just enough for us to include. We’ve also been busy ourselves seeing plenty of movies!

So, in this special episode of My Geek Confessions, we change up our usual format and show notes! In the episode we review The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – part 2, The Good Dinosaur, Spectre, and Victor Frankenstein. Against all odds, our recommendation out of all those is Victor Frankenstein! Who knew? Then we included all the new Movie and TV trailers we think are worth it to watch, and finally all the news we thought was worth your time while we were away.

Vin Diesel Is Bringing Riddick Back With A New Movie And TV Show

After a delay because of Thanksgiving holiday, welcome to part 1 of our Anime North Texas 2015 interviews! In episode #175, we interview voice actors Chuck Huber, Chris Rager, and Josh Martin. Our next episode will feature Greg Ayres, so stay tuned.

Chuck Huber

First up is Chuck Huber! He was actually our second interview at Anime North Texas but since Chuck opened our interview with a nice freestyle rap(?) show intro, we thought it would be a great way to start us off!

Chuck Huber is an actor, writer, director, and voice actor, who voiced Hiei from Yu Yu Hakusho, Android 17 and Pilaf from Dragon Ball Z, Shou Tucker in FMA, Stein in Soul Eater, among many others. We last met with Chuck Huber way back in 2011, when he was a guest at Anime Banzai in Utah when we were still known as Webertainment Weekly. Since then Chuck has been very busy. He’s been playing Dr. McCoy in the popular fan production of Star Trek Continues, has an upcoming role in season 2 of American Crime on ABC, and plays Colonel Kashoid in the upcoming film AmeriGeddon directed by the son of Chuck Norris, Mike Norris. Our second interview is a combined interview with Chris Rager and Josh Martin! Together they are Mr. Satan and Buu from Dragon Ball Z and Anime North Texas 2015 was the first time that they’ve ever been at the same convention together!

Chris Rager

Chris Rager is a voice actor and comedian. He’s most well known for providing the voice of Mr. Satan/Hercule in Dragon Ball Z and Mr. Torgue from Borderlands 2, but most recently voiced Principal Asano in Assassination Classroom, Dagger Morse in Show by Rock, and is Rendain in the soon to be released Gearbox Software game of Battleborn. Josh Martin

Josh Martin is a voice actor, performer, and comedian. He’s most well known for being the voice of Majin Buu in Dragon Ball, Yosaku from One Piece and Mason in both Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. He also was the body talent Barney the Dinosaur (including a great story where the suit caught on fire)! Checkout some of his credits over at IMDB. Josh is also a part Rhymin’ N Stealin’ The Original Beastie Boys Tribute Band as MCA.

* We have some big trailers for you this week! First is the first teaser trailer for Finding Dory where Dory is actually remembering things! Next is what is sure to just make conspiracy theorist freak out even more with Moonwalkers as they try to fake the moon landing but we’re already interested with the cast of Rupert Grint and Ron Perlman. Last is the trailer My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 which looks really fun but makes us feel really old at the same time.

* A copyright claim lawsuit for stolen lyrics against Taylor Swift was tossed in the most epic way possible. Check our link below for more details.

* John Oliver on Last Week Tonight takes the Washington Redskins to task for their defense of why they should keep their offensive trademark. It’s easy to see both sides, but when your defense is “We’re not as bad as these ones”, it’s time to think of a better defense.

* Alanis Morissette and James Corden update the lyrics for her song “Ironic” in for a new generation. Honestly I like the new version better.

* Stephen Colbert had some great bits this week! First is a great segment about TV censors and how their rules aren’t consistent at all, with the best part coming at the end with the smiley face. Second, Stephen Colbert teamed up with Liam Neeson to show what a Candy Crush movie might be like with the puns and references flying everywhere along with brightly colored red outfits.

* Jeff Goldblum has a great series of ads for Curry’s PC World over in the United Kingdom about giving acting lessons to properly show how to react to gift giving and receiving for the holidays. It’s a shame that they aren’t playing on television here in the states!

* Cloud Strife joined Super Smash Brothers as a DLC and debuted with a new trailer to show off his moves.

* Funimation released a trailer for the dubbed release of Terror in Resonance. Check out Krista’s review of the original subbed release.
