My prayer today is that we are a people who are grounded in peace. I pray that no matter what we face, when we put our heads on our pillows at night that we are overcome with trust and strength. 

We know that fear is a tactic of the enemy and we know he loves to attack us. But we also know that our faith in Christ changes the atmosphere when looking at fear. 

So if you are battling financial hardship, troubles in relationships, or physical / mental mountains, remember that you can go to bed in peace and your nights will always be sweet.

• The magnitude of a God made flesh that died for us, sometimes goes right over our heads. Beyond that, communication with God can be intimidating, but we serve a father that loves us so much He not only spared His son, He sent us His Spirit. 
• God is a good good Father. 
• Prayer for today is to allow Him the ability to minister to our hearts, and watch how it changes not just our personal lives but the lives of our family and those we love most.

This is Episode 508 of the My Morning Devotional Podcast 

Join me, Alison Elizabeth as we read out of Psalm 143:10 which says "Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground."

"Sometimes I don’t ask for help. I don’t specifically God for help. 

I say things like I know He has it under control. 

Or I know that it’s going to all work out. 

But I am quick to forget to ask for his active teaching. Almost as if everything I know about Him is all there is to know. 

But the truth is God is an active teacher. There are things I don’t know and have yet to learn. The beautiful part is that He continues to reveal himself to us. He continues to teach us, to shape us. 

My prayer today is that He would actively teach us something new today. "
