Now then!! What’s happening? What’s good? This week, I’m chatting to JoJo Elgarice. Steel City’s foremost flogger of rare and vintage garms.
JoJo’s shop Rag Parade sells a really broad range of gear with a real singularity of vision. To buy and sell really nice things. I met JoJo for about 15 seconds when I was leathered at vintage fair in Stoke Newington a few weeks ago but I’ve been drooling over the stuff he sells on his Instagram for a good few years. Today we’ll discover where his deep love for garms comes from and what shapes his tastes today…
Last week I mentioned our new Substack on the outro. Thanks to everyone that’s been on and made pals with us over there. We’ve got articles and links to stuff we talk about in the episodes and we’re working on new stuff at the moment so go and have a butcher’s hook.
Big thanks as ever to the series sponsors Trailberg for making what we do on My Own Garms a bit less financially crushing. Appreciate you lot a lot! Go and drop em a follow @trailbergofficial - legends!!
Okay. Let’s get into this one then. This is My Own Garms with Sheffield’s own, JoJo Elgarice…
Thanks Jojo for the time and thanks to the lovely people at Eve’s Kitchen for the brews and the recording space.
I’ve not really mentioned it on here but what do you reckon to the recording setups for this series? Instead of booking a hotel out and getting the guests to come to us, we’ve been getting about the country and setting up where our guests are at. Do you reckon it’s better? Prefer it the old way? Let us know in the comments or in the reviews. Would love to hear what you think.
Okay, you know the drill, we’ll drop another mini episode with JoJo in a couple of days so make sure you’re subscribed to the feed for that one cos it’s a banger. See ya back here for that. X

On this ep, I’m sitting down with Lettie Pattinson, one half of the mother / daughter duo behind TDS - The Design Studio Hawarden. They make absolutely stunning, one of a kind pieces from recycled and dead stock material and the brand has sustainability hardwired into its ethos. We’re gonna see where her influences and philosophy have grown from and how the brand has changed over the first ten years of its life. If you buzz off this ep, then go to instagram and DM one of our reels to one of your bezzie mates. Costs nowt, gives you two summert else to chat about and helps us spread the podcast a bit further. Bella Freud has started her fashion podcast and it looks posher than mine so I need all the backing I can get. Nice one. And nice one to Trailberg for the ongoing support with this series of the podcast. Appreciate you a lot. Okay, let’s do this episode then. Yes my mates. What’s happening with you lot...? On this weeks ep, I’m chatting with Joe Donovan from Blossoms.
Joe’s a top bloke who loves his clothes and all the culture that surrounds them. I went to watch him play on the latest tour and was absolutely blown away by the show and the reception they got from the fans. As well as being a mint drummer, Joe’s got a bit of a professional history with clothing which we’re gonna dig into in this ep.
Now there’s a few bits of this episode that I had to cut out just so it didn’t end up being a hundred hours long, but rather than let it got to waste, it’s up on our Patreon page for all the ace people who support us on there so if you want to help us out and get some bonus bits and pieces in return, head over to Patreon.com/myowngarms, give us a couple of quid and you can be part of the gang.
Big thanks to Mujahiid for the help with the recordings and to the legends over at Trailberg for the ongoing series support.
If you want more of Joe in your podcast feeds then bang that subscribe button cos we’ve got a fit pic breakdown coming out later on in the week where we’re talking vintage stoney, band leathers, and what to wear to look cool as fuck on an Italian holiday.
Now if you liked that ep, and you want to hear more musicians on My Own Garms, then get over to our IG or TikTok and drop us a comment with who you’d like to see on the next series. We’re @myowngarms on all the socials. I love chatting with artists and musicians so deffo wanna get some more recordings lined up for the next batch of recordings. Nice one. And nice one to you lot for all the love and support. Means a lot. See ya on the next one. X

What’s happening pals. Soz it’s been ages since the last episodes but we’ve got an absolute banger for you today. I’ve been down to Gloucestershire to have a chat with actor and lovely bloke Charlie Cooper.
I briefly met Charlie at a Waterstones in Bath about 7 years ago and loads has happened since then; massive films, being a dad, T.V. documentary series and Fulham FC have been up, down, and back up again.
From Kurtan Mucklowe’s early-morning TK Maxx foraging sprees, through Charlie’s short but sexy modelling career, up to the effortlessly perfect fisherman’s jumper he sported in his recent BBC folk mythology series, clothes have been a part of Charlie’s professional and personal life for a long time. We’ll hear about the formative experiences that haver shaped his sense of style and how that’s played out in his career so far.
Thanks again Charlie for being an ace guest. And if you want more with Charlie then hit subscribe because we’ll be dropping another 15 minutes of fit pic breakdown goodness in your feeds later on this week. Honestly, it’s a dead good un wit Charlie talking about the best type of jumper to make crop circles in, Saint Laurent cowboy shirts and perfect caps.
Massive thanks to my pal Liam for making the road trip down to Stroud to help out on the recording on this one. A massive thanks to Ethan who’s been helping out with some of the content on this series, And a massive thanks to you for tuning in. If you’re send it to one of your mates on WhatsApp. I’m trying to get to a thousand subs on Spotify so any help is very appreciated.

Last one of series three today and this week I’m chatting with Murkage Dave. Dave’s a musician from East London. I first met Dave when he was putting on dances in Manchester in the early 2000s just before his beard became fully majestic. He’s a total legend of a bloke and if you can go and see him do a live show, then you’ll be in for an absolute treat.
