For over 15 years, Nadim Naaman has been one of the West End's most sought after leading men, taking on roles in The Phantom of the Opera, Chess and Titanic. Nadim has also frequently been seen in concerts celebrating musical theatre including most recently at the BBC Proms. More recently, Nadim Naaman has taken his hand to writing new musicals: Broken Wings about the life of Kahlil Gibran and Rumi about the legendary Persian poet. These shows have a particular place in Nadim's heart as they pay homage to his own Middle-Eastern heritage. As theatres continue to reopen across the UK and across the world, Broken Wings is about to play a limited run at Charing Cross Theatre, where Nadim will be reprising his role as Gibran.

In this special interview, we get to hear Nadim share his excitement about his show returning to the London stage at a time where diversity and representation feel particularly important in the arts. A long-time advocate for fairer representation on stage, Broken Wings will feature a predominantly Middle-Eastern cast and audiences will get to see the world of Gibran unfold in the intimate space of Charing Cross Theatre. Nadim also shares insights into earlier highlights from his career performing on the West End and expresses how humbled he is to have had such a terrific career working with best in the business. We hear Nadim talk at length about the need for diversity in the arts and his hopes for Middle Eastern stories to be told more regularly in the theatre. It's an intriguing interview and we look forward to seeing Nadim on stage or creating more musicals in the future.

Broken Wings runs at Charing Cross Theatre from 11 February - 26 March 2022.
