Brazilian au pair Juliana Peres Magalhaes had been accused of second-degree murder after a man was found shot in the home where she worked in Fairfax County, Virginia in February 2023. The woman Magalhaes worked for, Christine Banfield, had been stabbed to death several times. Prosecutors said Magalhaes was having an affair with Christine's husband, Brendan Banfield, who now faces aggravated murder charges. Magalhaes has now entered into a plea deal with prosecutors.
